Yeah you are both right, I don't like my call now I review this again. The trouble is that I don't beat much and therefore all I have is a bluffcatcher. That being said, the trouble with hands like this is that OOP when I check 3 times, Villain is going to/should bluff river a good portion of the time. That makes me wonder if sometimes I can donk bet this hand for info (most likely OTT) or is it not an option in these stakes?

Even a hand like a set is possible to slow play it a little bit on the turn, but I don't see much bluffs in villains range. Read less it's really tough to call the river bet with only a bluff catcher.

This is not enough to analyze the hand objectively. Here is some tips of how think. How often V 4bet. His postflop tendencies. His behavior in 4bet pots. How does V perceives you. The last one is pretty much optional given the limit you play. But on the higher stakes is mandatory.

I see that you choose to flat your TT. Bare in mind that you should do this with your entire range including QQ+ AK. That way your range will be uncapped. This is mandatory as well. If you dont like that then you have another option. You could add 5bet bluffs in your range. It's a matter of personal choice.

As for the hand i believe you should fold OTR without additional information. With 2 overcards on the board that hit V's range i think you could find a better spot to bluffcatch

There's really not much 4-betting in these stakes but I can see how that becomes more rellevant when moving up in stakes. I am (usually) well aware of my range but that's another good point you bring up here. I don't think 5-bet bluffs are an option at NL5. Not sure about NL10 but certainly higher it's something to think about I'm sure.

Yeah it's true even as a bluffcatcher it was not a great spot. I thought it had a little showdown value but it's marginal.

Against NL5 unknown I'm folding pre:
- 4betting as a bluff there is rare
- the range that V is 4betting for value is, usually, too strong: usually QQ+, AKs (TT is crushed)
- you're OOP, which means that V is going to realize his equity more easily, will pot control if needed, every 2nd, 3rd barrel with an overcard on the board will feel like a cannon ball. Even without an overcard, TT is gonna be vulnerable against aggresive opponents
- TT is basically an attempt to setmine there (unless you are ridiculously better than V post-flop): however, in 4bet pots we don't have the odds that will make setmining profitable

Even JJ I'm folding here except against known and very aggressive V. I don't think there's a problem if you overfold a little in that spot.

Thank you for your reply, I agree with most things you say and on top of that V was not a unknown but a TAG.

It's an interesting thought if we should fold hands as strong as JJ against a 4-bet from the BTN in these stakes. My 4-bet strategy needs some study so I could be wrong on this but a 4-bet range of QQ+,AKs from the BTN seems really nitty. Perhaps including hands like TT+, AJs+ and AQo for the average TAG is more realistic? I would include some A5s, A4s for adding some bluffs in a polarized range for the better REGS?

What 3-bet stat, fold to 3-bet stat would you start defending wider? Also wondering if there is more polarized 4-betting in NL10 (pretty sure we get to see this more often in NL25+)
