10 PLO R&C To bluffcatch river or not (multiway spot)

We should not bet our overpairs in general as they have showdown-value. When betting, you basically want your opponent to fold a better hand (bluff) or call something worse (value-bet).

Hands that make sense to bluff bet are those, that blocks villains continuing range like having a :4x:, :5x:, or and of course your value-range that has an :8x:. Be careful, that not all of our trips necessarily try to play for 3 streets as villain could have something strong too when he calls.

My advice is that in 4way pots as default we should have 0 bluffs on the flop. No matter what the sizing is, we can't get enough FE to make it profitable. If we have reads that opponents fold enough to barrells etc. we might do that, but even then it's really hard to be +EV.

Versus one opponent mathematically we can bet this flop with even 100% of our range and most opponents will fold enough. But when there is 3 players the FE drops heavily. As an example, if player folds 50% of hands to a bet, then FE is 50%. But when there are 3 players, the FE for all of them to fold is just 12.5%.

On the turn someone bets into 3 people, without further reads I would treat that as a valuebet and fold. If you think opponent is valuebetting thin with Jxxx or stabs with air, you can call. But when he bets big on the river, just fold. Yes, it's a spot where he might be bluffing. But betting into 3 people and then firing river is quite brave to be a bluff, and on the other with that line he could easily have trips+.
