Hello everyone,
I would really appreciate an advice from smne who has already done this and knows in details what to do.

Relocating in a different country.
I just came to Bulgaria for a couple of months and I want to play poker. 😂
Thing is it's different platforms- .bg and I currently have a .uk acc.
I was tru this last year support told me to open a new .bg acc and operate both separately.
I decided not to play then lol
I just read what's on pokerstars help and question and I'm not quite satisfied.
Thing is that I don't have a Bulgarian address I don't even own a BG bank acc anymore lol.
So opening a new acc is gonna be a bit of headache....
And even then I dunno if I'm gonna be able to deposit withraw by my UK card sooo...
Am just thinking of an easy decision...
Is not using a proxy sever good idea... I know it's a violation technically but pokerstars already operates there anyway .
What's the pluses and coins using a proxy, can u get easily cought using it and what are the consequences .
If smne has an advice or experience... Thanks in advance 😁

Have not personally moved to other country so can't help on that. PokerStars is site that probably looks on rule violations most strictly so would not recommend looping them. I assume Skrill etc. should be option to deposit into new account anyway?

PS: Also one option you have probably thought would be to play on some other site that is available from Bulgaria?

From what I've seen in other cases the answers are "yes" and "ban". Try to look into what ghaleon said, different deposit methods and etc. If you want to try it anyway, maybe not risking it with the best poker room is clever :f_thumbsup: :f_thumbsup:

You cannot open another account, under .bg license. You must close your .uk account first. If you will be living in Bulgaria for just a month ot two than you can use your .uk account. Just inform them, I had a similar issue 2 years ago, but with .bg account in Greece for a month and I had no troubles. But you must have your .uk client installed, or you must have the .exe file, because there is no way to download it from Bulgaria. Ah and don't even think to use proxy or to cheat them in some way. You'll be caught and you'll be suspended from playing in Stars permanently.

I don't really understand, i moved to the UK from Hungary. I wrote to the support that i'm moving to the UK and i want to play there, and they wrote me back it's okay, download the pokerstars.uk and it will be fine. And i can use here the .uk and if i would go back i will use the .eu then. Maybe Bulgaria has got different policy or market regulation. I don't recommend you to use any VPN or smart solution. Contact them again to find you a better deal.

Thanks for the answers everyone , Ill write them again this year again see what will they say :) Last year they told me to open a brand new acc here ....but thing is I already had one when I was in Uni(before the online gambling regulations in BG,and before their new license and the .bg platform ........soo I dunno it will get while messy writing to supports .... Yeah I read a lot about it and using proxy is not gonna be very smart solution indeed :f_frown:

Another solution is gonna be ....I still have some mates left here from high school and uni ....ill just get smne to open an acc and Ill play from it :f_drink:....what could possibly go wrong the worst scenario is gonna be "What acount what money are you talking about pal ?".....when he sees a few hundred in his bank acc from stars ahahaha lol
Btw cuz this is quite interesting ill post here what s Stars official answer to my question .
Cuz I guess loads of pple travel and etc...It will be interesting to know.

Some people are able to play .EU + .PT, though. I listened to a podcast one of these day where a portuguese high stakes player (outside Portugal now) said they asked stars and it's ok. Why would you have to close your account? ?(

Just to add more confusion!

Resident of a prohibited jurisdiction, playing when travelling abroad
Unfortunately, this is not possible. Currently, all accounts registered with an address in a prohibited jurisdiction are blocked from real money play.
To be able to play again, you must be a resident of a country which is not a prohibited jurisdiction and be able to prove it.

How can visitors use an account from Spain
Due to the legislation set by the Spanish Government, only .ES Stars Accounts are allowed in Spain. Therefore, you will not be able to use any other license account you have while in Spain.
To be able to play from Spain, you will need to create a new Stars Account on .ES. To play for real money, fully verifying your .ES account will be required.

Most likely as soon as you become a resident of Spain you are automatically prohibited to play internationally.

I don't think it's possible if you visit Spain for a short period to play on PokerStars, but you can always ask PokerStars support before you go to Spain.

Cheers,

I guess I could have made it clearer. Above it's a quote from the pokerstars website. You can play on .ES even when you do only a short visit. But sure it's always a good idea to contact support and mostlikely they will advise you to do the verification process before you arrive in Spain because you have access to all needed documentations.

Hello everyone this is the official answer I got...

The solution Support provided you last year is invalid.

Please be advised, only players who live in Bulgaria are allowed to play on our .BG platform due to regulator requirements. If you are temporarily visiting Bulgaria, during your stay you will not be able to play on your Stars Account if it is registered on another platform.

In order to have two accounts, both the UK and BG account, we would have to restrict your UK account while you are in Buld, and you must be able to provide both ID and a recent utility bill showing your full name, address, and statement date (no older than 3 months).

In order to use a UK card while in Bulgaria, you would also have to be ready to provide proof of ownership for the card in question.

With all of this being said, it is not legally possible to utilize your UK account while in Bulgaria“
---------

The way I understand the mail is that restricting the .uk acc is gonna be while u r abroad, so u can get it back after.
I can provide everything, a valid BG ID,
,proof of ownership for my UK bank acc but I fail in utility bill, cuz I just don't live here , I'm even staying in a hotel 😂😂😂
I can try a document from the hotel if they will consider that as a proof of adress.
But it clearly says a utility bill or a bank statement.

So I don't know if it's worth all this for a 2-3 months tbh.

Anyways that's how things are with traveling to jurisdictions that do gambling regulations, u have to prove that u live there and u get ur accounts on other platforms temporary restricted 😐

So you can open a bank account in Bulgaria and send them the staement. It will take 15 minutes and you need to fund it with just few leva. 5lv. will be enough. And the contract with the bank is also good for verification. I remember I verifyed my Stars account with bank contract few years ago.

If you are staying in a hotel for less than 90 days (2-3 months) and don't register at your place for a domicile you aren't resident. Only residents are allowed to play and you don't live there - I would say too it would be a stretch to jump through those hoops. Except it is very easy to get a simple registration for those days from the local office.

I was in a similar situation when I moved countries and wanted to keep playing online poker. Making a new account for the local site can be a pain, especially without a local address or bank account. I tried using my old account and had some trouble. I used a proxy account, and this worked for me, but be careful as it is risky, and you can get banned.
By the way, if you need a break, check out the westgate in Branson. I stayed there and had a great time. The place is nice and a great spot to relax.

That's really tricky for sure. Lucky you didn't get banned.
