His loose range could well hit this board quite a bit and glancing at his stats make me doubt our fold equity so I might actually just fold flop until we have some further reads.

I think we can wait for a better spot and just valuetown him.

generally speaking if he was very passive I would respect his donk and give up. In this case, I think he could have mid or top pair (the passive players tend to donkcall flop then check down), or the flush draw. how should I handle this situation? I don't really have sufficient reads on this guy

since he donks almost pot i would put him on a 7 or a 5 which he probably wouldnt fold untill you barrel turn an river, too. if a fish wants to draw cheap they donk 1/3 or 1/2 potsize.
in this spot i just fold the flop.

well surprisingly enough he had the FD and I won, and if i recall correctly he donks a lot which means i have to take a stand against his crap

Yes, but ur Equity against a fd isn´t that great and he has top pairs or midpairs in his range. After he donks that big i doubt hes folding to a raise and there are better spots to bluff raise imo.

easy fold flop imo. No need to gamble on such a board vs a fish who is throwing his money to you in other spots as well.
