Hello with QJo I prefer fold or 3bet on SB after open button.
Postflop I think You can check-call here river, not many hands but seems that opponent van be aggressive player and he can bluff three barrels (for example with busted flush draw).

He seems aggresive pre-flop based on villains stats, but we don't know anything about his post-flop play.
Tough to call villain down without proper reads I think and sample size is really low.
Out of postion I would be on the tighter side with 3betting without knowing villain folds a lot on 3bets.
You don't want to blow up the pot with QJo out of postion. Without reads a nitty fold pre-flop seems reasonable with QJo.

Just wondering why we shouldn't be calling?

If our hand is good enough to 3B why can't we call with this hand?

If we call this invites a squeeze play from the BB and regardless of what the button does we have to fold as we are not calling a 3 bet OOP with QJos.

If we call and the BB also calls then we are multi-way, OOP, with 9bb in the pot and little idea of our opponents hands.

If we 3 bet then there is a reasonable chance that both the BB and button fold and we pick up 4.5 BB for little effort.

If we 3 bet and the button calls then while we are OOP at least we have initiative and can lead out on many flops that are better for our 3 bet range than his 3 bet calling range and expect to take down the pot.

If we 3 bet and get raised then we can be fairly sure that we are no good and can get away from our hand and make a mental note to fold next time.

If we simply fold then we have none of these concerns and can get on with playing the next hand in position :f_drink:

Are we 3 Betting QJo from the SB vs all button openings or just this opponent from the button because he is opening wide?

Personally I would fold vs most opponents raise from the button. I am sure there are some here who would consider this "nitty" but that's how I play.

If it was suited then I'm probably 3 betting vs most opponents as it would be ahead of a large part of most opponents button opening range.

If I was confident/had a read, that the button would fold to a 3 bet 70% of the time then I would sometimes 3 bet the QJos. Whether I 3 bet or not might also depend on how often I have 3 bet in the last few orbits. How often the button has actually raised from the button when they had the chance.

The 3 bet stat looks high but after only 45 hands that could be a single 3 bet. I tend to pay little attention to these stats until I have over 250 hands on a player and even then it's just a guide. Over 2K hands then you are more likely to get a more accurate picture.

I have seen wildly different stats for myself on each table after 5 orbits when playing 4 tables. Anything from 12 to 40 VPIP. Sometimes you get card dead on a table where many hands are 3 bet PF, and sometimes on another table you just get hand after hand that are in your range for that position and you get folded to and there is very little 3 betting for whatever reason so it's raise time.

Feels like I'm writing essays again, apologies for the long winded blurb.

I fold the river here with J♣: as it blocks his flush draw combos as well as his straight draw combos. Could be overfolding but you just beat a random bluff and nothing from his value hands.

I would mb call down with KQ and AQ although you should not have these here as they are 3bet pre.

In general - to fold preflop with this one is the best play imo
