This year, 2025, I asked myself how to become a poker pro?

I have come to some conclusions on how to do it

To become a successful professional poker player, it is important to follow an action plan based on the strategies and habits of the best players in the world.

1. Education and Training
Study the Rules and Strategies: Master the rules of poker and learn different playing strategies. Read books, watch videos and take online courses.

Hand Analysis: Review your played hands and analyze the decisions made. Use analysis software to identify mistakes and areas for improvement.

After a long time, I'm back to share some news. I joined a player pool, and it's been one of the best choices I've made in poker. Let's understand why.

Poker is a high-variance sport. If you don't have a comfortable bankroll and a winning mindset, you'll probably give up on your career before validating a methodology, without first grinding enough to reach the ideal numbers, both in stats and in game performance.

Poker is long-term. If you study and apply what you've learned correctly, the short-term outcome doesn't matter, whether you won or lost the hand by applying the correct play. What matters is that you do what the theory tells you to do. Of course, by analyzing the profiles of each player, you'll have a higher success rate!

Sharing your bankroll with other players while you study and increase your volume is a good choice for a longer-lasting poker career. You grind without pressure because even if your session isn't as good, the other player in your pool can have a great session and still both end up profiting. If a player makes 500 MTT/month in a pool with 5 players, for example, they'll have a volume of 2,500 MTT/month, it would take you 5 months to reach that volume. In other words, it's as if you played 5 months within a single month, bringing the long term closer.

Tell me, did you like this strategy?
