A bad beat or a fold flop?

Hi,

this hand I played today and I'm not sure about the right play:

Party Poker 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Preflop: BlackFlush is BB with 3, A.
UTG calls, 3 folds, Button calls, SB completes, BlackFlush checks.

Flop: (4 SB) 7, 3, 2 (5 players)
SB checks, BlackFlush checks, UTG bets, Button calls, SB folds, BlackFlush calls.

Turn: (3.50 BB) A (4 players)
BlackFlush checks, UTG bets, Button raises, BlackFlush 3-bets, UTG folds, Button calls.

River: (10.50 BB) 7 (3 players)
BlackFlush checks, Button checks.

Final Pot: 10.50 BB

I din't thougt this flop helping anybody but me, flopping a pair. I even might get an runner-runner-flush or hit an A. So I decided to call the flop. The turn give me 2 pair and it seemed UTG got an A as well. I put him on A with a maybe weak kicker, but not on something bigger. The 7 on the river gives him the 2pair and me just the 3 as the kicker, so I nearly knew I was beaten.
While wrting this, I think about direktly betting the flop and betting the turn to get UTG out.

Any comments on this hand?

i think there are 2 fine lines here:
either you just c/f the flop
or:
you bet, because you can be quite sure, that nobody has hit the board.
if's it is raised behind you you have an easy fold, because you have to discount your outs, because the most likely hands that raise this board are straightdraws or sets and would you be drawing thin in this small pott

on this limit i would tend to c/f the flop

What would you prefer?

The Problem this time was UTG, a fish calling the flop with nothing all the time. So I don't think I can get him out with a bet, and the BB might have the 7 as well. So maybe c/f is the right way here?

i think, that flop call is very close, but checking and calling IS an option here.

betting the flop and folding to a raise is rather weak, as you wouldn't be able to see the turn, which is what you actually want, drawing to 2pair or trips, so that option is rather bad. you also have to consider that you might get called (not raised...) by better hands such as small pocket pairs, without gaining information.

your outs are relatively clean, but the potsize might not be high enough for a call, depending on how much you discount them. that hand is a very close one, i would probably check and fold the flop, but checking and calling might be good as well.
