dah.......

November is a busy time for students.... I only want to play barely enough games to keep my iron man status in FT while I study for exams, but FT said

"NO, YOU HAVEN'T EXPERIENCED A MEDIUM SIZED DOWNSWING FOR A WHILE"

and poof, I am down 50 BI for the last week and a bit. At least I managed to make a 2 BI profit today. woooooooooooooooooo

Well, there is my whinge for the day, I'm gonna go and do something unrelated to poker.

wow 50 BI thats pretty sick. i dont think i have ever experienced that myself

yeah thats sick for a week. what stakes? cash or sng?

You are playing SSS right?

I had a 1300bb (65 BI) downswing playing SSS. Am still recovering. Was at +713bb, now only at -143bb. Thank god for bonuses and rakeback.

I'm playing the hyper turbo SnGs on FT, 300 chips only, 3 min blinds and have moved up to the $14 + 1 limits since starting again in June (I signed up to PS last year but lost bankroll etc). They have a lot of variance - you really only play p/f. I was half expecting a big downswing though since I had been on a 3 or 4 week long high before that! Had a similar 'downswing' in September but that was also partly due to tilt.

I'm going to reevaluate poker after exams and see which games are more profitable than others. One of my mates used to play FT hyper turbos and he had massive swings too, it wasn't profitable enough.

play BSS it's the only thing u can grind without suiciding sooner or later

I'll def make some sort of switch after exams. I was getting to the point where I'd push a better hand and expect to be called and lose frequently regardless of what my opponent had. I just cant keep up playing hyper turbos especially when i start playing more than sets of 6 tables. At least my p/f game is a lot better than what it was 5 months ago!
