I don't know exactly how to handle the raise, I think you have to fold unless you suspect there is a chance villain is bluffing. Since you had position, I think you should have checked behind. What could you beat that would call your value bet at the end? Only 66xx, which would mean villain is a huge station.

I did think about checking behind, but thought it was to weak. When I look at the hand now however, I do see that TT/99 is probably a big part of his range here.
Its easy to advice to check behind when you know you got check/raised 
I still think checking behind is too weak and he'd pay off with straight/trips. Tough one.

valuebetting halfpot here is a bit thin , he definetly has busted flush draws in his range, T9, TT, 99 boats (maybe 66 because calling stations do exist) , or a very weak straight. The FD's are folding to a half pot bet , probably also the straights since it's very easy to fold here when they're either splitting the pot or against a boat.
So a really small bet like 35cents can work to get him to call the straight or to induce a bluff from the busted draws. the advantage is that we get thin value, disadvantage is that he may not check-raise bluff at all but I guess this is better than betting 1/2 pot. A check behind seems nitty but is not bad considering the valuebet is thin.

Your options are to value bet and fold to a raise (unless you have a good read) or to check behind. T6xx, T9xx, T7xx, 99xx, TTxx are all apart of villains range. 66xx, flush draws, perhaps Txxx, maybe 85xx, and a lot of wierd donkey hands perhaps are all possibilities. Of those weaker hands, villain will not call a value bet with 100% of them. However, villain will raise you will all of the hands that beat you, and possibly 66xx. So, I think your value bet is extremely thin.
