Hi,

I think it's okay considering he's unknown, he can still call you on the turn with worse hands figuring it's unlikely you have the A (for him too), and sometimes it's better to keep the initiative when you don't know what villain will do if you check to him. It's hard to go wrong in that spot against an unknown, just make sure you learn from the showdown for next time.
