How has the increased c-betting been treating you? or have you given that up? What about the 2.5 bb bu steal?
I added some NL400 to the mix yesterday but after an initial win or two, I went down $350. today I persisted with the NL400/NL200 mix and I made it back thanks to a triple up with AA... but it's quite scary seeing your pocket queens go up against AK for $80.. I'm not sure if I should leave NL400 for a while and in a week or so of good NL200 grinding come back with renewed confidence, or just carry on.. or maybe just move up to NL600
well if you feel todays losses isaffecting your game then take a break from NL400. jumping to nl600 sounds like a bad idea.
i used to beat both nl400 and nl600 but im gonna stick to nl200 for a while (unless there is a lack of tables) because i dont think my mentality is right for nl400+ right now.
nl200 is my safe haven too. i know i can allways beat that no problem.
cant really tell if my aggressive LP play is having a positive effect but betting 2.5 from BU and SB and 3 from all other positions is working well.
loosening way way up in tight tables have been working well for me too most of the time.
one hand got me so exited that my hands was shaking lol (i love when that happens). i was double stacked with AA and i got action from a BSS fish. he flopped a straight with his 89 against me and i of course had my overpair and BFD so needless to say we went allin on the flop.
flop and river were both hearts which gave me a flush so i won ♦
talk about freaking luck lol.
another interesting hand: i raise JJ from a early pos and 2 people call. 1 weak fishy player and 1 solid TAG. flop comes 37Qr i check TAG bets, fish folds and i fold. but i think my fold was wrong. i believe this tag plays quite aggro in MWP's and he knows that i most often bet mpw's if i have a hand c/f if i dont. and he knows the player behind him is weak and doesnt have that many Q's in his range. its hard for me to judge how wide the tag's cc range is i must admit so i know its not easy for u to judge.
i believe i should have check/raised which i could also have done with a made hand here.
pot was around 10bb and his bet was 7bb and i had around 17bb left.
what do u guys think? c/r or c/f or b/f?
oh and Wildbeans, i stopped 4betting TJ and its working out well for me lol
i finished +200$ in 460 hands today. not sure if i will play more later, maybe.
obviously im running quite above ev beacuse of that AA hands. but damn i would have been pissed if i had lost that hand.
UPDATE: just finished a short session and i just ran superbad. all my kings ran into ace high boards and stuff like that. and once i was sitting with a 50bb stack and i get JJ in MP3 and mp1 raises. so i 3bet but then he 4bet pushes and then i fold. imo it was the right choice. i dunno how much he 4bet since i dont pay attention to that. but dont you think it was the right choice too? he could hardly 4bet anything less than AK JJ+ probably not even that wide and even against that range i dont get the right potodds.
i lost 80$ in that short session bringing my total winnings for the day to 120$ instead. but it was purely bad luck that caused it so i cant feel too bad about it. it has really been a strange day in poker for me.

just finished a short session. it went bad so i didnt feel like playing more than 130 hands. that didnt stop me from loosing 200$ though which i think must be some kind of personal record, considering i only had 1 nl400 table open and 5 nl200.
kept running into setups, king vs aces, 2 pair vs str8 and suckouts.
also i must get better to adapt to loose tables. im so used to playing those tight ass weekday tables that i forgot how to play against a table of fish. so i keep raising very loose from all positions and stuff like that and of course i then have to fold a lot preflop to 3bets.
i have never had as bad a month as this since i started playing serious poker. but its just due to bad luck and low volume. im 840$ below ev for the month so far.

as you may have noticed i havent updated for a while.
havent bothered playing lately.
but in other news i just ran a cooper test today on 2500m, i was all dizzy afterwards ^^ it wasnt a super result but not bad either.
my last one was 2000m but that was a long time ago.
is that a good result? It's not like that test where there you have to run between two cones, but you have to reach the other cone at the sound of a beep, and the beeps get gradually faster, then depending on how long you last, that's how fit you are..
it was ok. pretty avg. i guess. but a 25% improvement since the last time i ran a cooper.
a cooper test is just running for 12 min and see how far you get. so i ran with 12½ km/h.
i think im going to quit blogging for a while. im not really playing any poker lately and in a couple of weeks im moving and starting school so it isnt likely that i will be playing much anytime soon.
ive been thinking a bit about switching to BSS and maybe thats the way to go, since its surely just a matter of time before it wont be possible to play sss anymore.
if i were to switch i think i'd try to play a lag style bss, i think that would suit me okay. i dunno what limit i should start on though, i cant really picture myself playing low limits again, but i guess there is no way around it.

I moved down to low limits again to learn BSS and after the initial problems found I could adjust pretty quickly If I just focused on one limit (and of course thought in Big Blinds). Things got a bit messy when I tried practising BSS on NL25 straight after an NL400 + 200 SSS session ♦

right now im actually "coaching" a friend of mine and that is actually going really well. his lifetime hands are only 5k yet he is running at like 3bb/100.
i have a feeling that i will return to playing poker in a month or so.
