Why do you 3bet preflop?

If you 3bet preflop with these kind of hands, you are very often dominated.
Plus that they are not suited, which makes the hand very crappy.

The flopplay is something I dont like either, you are likely to have AK and still he shows he wants to play for stacks. Your hand is never good. And bet flop smaller.

I would c/c or b/f flop, (c/c bcz of potcontroll) B/f bcz of protection vs KQ, or I dont know where against. I think I would check this flop like 80% of the time. Then you check/fold turn if he continues to bet. You call one bet and none more.

He will never bluff.

But he might be drawing alongside with a pair. Or just raise stealing. Wouldn't he slow something that has JT beat here?

Pre-flop is investing $11 to win $5. Guess that can be seen as regular restealing, so I think he wouldn't be afraid that your range only holds hands like AK.

I think I would get the money in there on the flop.

Curious what others think

The problem here is that you are almost on the bottom of your range, and they will definetely never semibluff or bluff here, this is just how it is.

He is almost potbetting the flop in a 3betpot, that is a really big tell. He shows with his betsizing like: I am bombing this board, don't draw me out--> He has a good hand that is vulnerable or could be slowed down by other cards.

OP: What is the reason you 3bet?

I 3bet just for the resteal. Probably JTo is a bit too much.( EDIT: especially without stats)

Yeah, I agree that my flop bet sizing was not good.

restealing JTo is not a good idea when you don't know villain. If he has a high F3bet, then it is definetely ok.

Even if you know him it's usually not a good idea, especially OOP.
I'd rather 3bet A5s there than JTo.
It plays a lot easier.

As played i'd b/f $16 on the flop. This board has hit your range a lot and as HannesNL says JT is the very bottom of your range there and he's never bluffing you on this board (since it hits yor range so hard he usually has almost no foldequity).

So my plan is to b/f the flop.
If he calls his range changes a lot, in this case i might even consider betting some turns because once he calls he usually has no straight (and no set either, maybe he even folds a set on the turn due to the probability of you having AK).
So his range consists of TP/overpair/FD or midpair+straightdraw a lot.
Even if he calls down with sets the part of his range that you beat (and he also calls down) is a lot bigger than the one you don't, so continuing betting should be fine.
