Mainly during meals (watch videos). I thought about having a real time slot for it but I really hate "having" to study - prefer doing it when I want (which is still often when it comes to poker :P)

Hey guys! Just making a short update since I usually don't leave the blog alone for this long. I still haven't got my poker shit together for the year, I need to make a good schedule for the days and start playing. I just fell ill though with fever so I dont wanna play right now, it sucks very much.. also in the process of possibly moving over to another platform, which might take a liittle while more.

TT told me he has uploaded my part of his leakfinder series so it'll be out in a few weeks - very excited about that!

Anyway, just saying I'm still alive so cya around :f_p:

^yeah me too cause I dont remember that session. I actually first recorded a session that I intended to be for the series, then another day I recorded this to make a session review out of or something. Decided it's better to send the one where I just play my game instead of thinking about the leakfinder all the time, so I'm a bit nervous there might be something really stupid in there :f_p:

6/1 - 2010

So this is my first real blog post for the new year. So, now what...

First of all, what have I been doing til now? Nothing much. Not playing poker atleast. I've had a bit of a break throughout december, actually for no apparant reason except I sort of lost faith in what I was doing and had a bad mindset... which is pretty stupid.

What am I going to be doing next? Actually, today I moved money to another site from FTP for the first time in a long while. Going to.... an ongame skin!! Obviously not because its so great to play on ongame, but rather for a nice bonus. The bonus serves two purposes for me... first of all, extra $$. Secondly, it will hopefully help me to have a goal - I need to play about 50k hands in 30 days which is by no means impossible........ where I to play it at FTP atleast where I can multitable! - oh, a twist to the next point :f_eek:

Ongame software is probably the worst I have ever seen! Christ, I have absolutely no idea how I'm gonna be able to play more than... 4 tables here. iPoker is like heaven compared to this.

I've atleast spent about 3 hours today completely changing the way the table looks with mods from 2p2, and also got me a hotkey program that also mods and actually does a lot of nice things (ongame BetPot, trial version for now) like arranges the tables, sizes them, lets you mod the table however you want (change around cards player seats and stuff, had to do this to have a chance to fit in my HEM stats on all seats). Not really that interested in hotkeys anymore than preflop ones - one for raise 3bb one for 2.5bb pre.

Anyway, still with all this done it's annoying as hell, you have like no time for actions, it's really hard to see if anyone's raised or what people have done before you if you haven't been watching the table (I missed action playing 4 tables), and to top it off it actually LAGS a bit sometimes when you use this betpot or open tables and stuff.

Right, that's all the negative. Tables are 5-handed which is nice - more buttons for me! It also seems to be veeeeery fishy (I started off +3 stacks but then ended up -$30 anyway after 400 hands with EV on +300, rungood as always ofc lol), the bonus deal is pretty good and it's nice with a change of environment. I suppose I'll get used to the software in a bit, like I did back when I started playing on iPoker.

Bottom line is I'll deffo stay for the month and clear the bonus, and then we'll see if I stay or not.

Still haven't sorted out that "schedule" cause I've been ill with fever and not up for doing much of anything. Need to get that done too. Actually I need to get some shit together in general :f_p:

Right uh, enough rambling for now.. cya :f_p:

All the ongame hands so far. Started to get into the grinding rythm a bit, which is good cause I need to keep up the pace. I need 50k hands total for the bonus pretty much exactly, which means about 1,6k hands per day which is not much at all - however I would like to be able to take weekends off should I wish to, so I'll be aiming for something like 2-2.5k every weekday. Shouldn't be hard, considering I did 2,3k hands in 3,5 hours today 7-tabling and I'll be playing a lot more.

7 tables takes 100% focus for me still while playing, which seems to be good in a way because I feel I'm playing well in addition to probably running hot. I think I'm gonna try adding in an 8th table tomorrow ftw!

Wtf you play on ongame ihufa? Haha. There've been some regs playing almost all the time with me, wonder if anyone of them is you.. that'd be pretty funny ;)

Not sure about posting my sn here, for once I'd like to keep it anonymous (unlike ftp). I'll pm you on irc maybe I'll tell you there :f_p:

@tt

I *might* be willing to trade an ongame multitabling coaching for a poker-coaching with you :f_p:

Played a few days here now, and was doing great up UNTIL TODAY ffs so bad, about $100 is badplay/tilt and rest is just shit, the ev line doesn't even account for it properly..

sigh, didn't need this right now cause I have to keep playing but am really tilted right now... gotta fix it somehow

I wish variance would play out differently. I'd rather play b/e for long and then get a big heater, than like this and go slowly but steadily upwards for a while and then bam drop back down in one session... story of my pokerlife I guess

Edit 1 (16.00):
Recovered $200 so far despite this...

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $1(BB) Replayer
SB ($109)
BB ($206)
UTG ($159)
CO ($100)
Hero ($109)

Dealt to Hero T♣ T♥

fold, CO raises to $4, Hero calls $4, fold, fold

FLOP ($9.50) T♠ 7♦ 6♦

CO bets $7, Hero raises to $23, CO raises to $96 (AI), Hero calls $73

TURN ($201) T♠ 7♦ 6♦ 3♦

RIVER ($201) T♠ 7♦ 6♦ 3♦ J♦

CO shows T♦ K♥
(Pre 32%, Flop 5.6%, Turn 20.5%)

Hero shows T♣ T♥
(Pre 68%, Flop 94.4%, Turn 79.5%)

CO wins $198

What made this hand even worse was that after this hand, before I had time to rebuy and had only $10 left, I got AA and got absolutely no value at all. bah

Yeah. Actually despite everything else, my EV is actually positive for today!! Incredible. This session wasn't as tilting because I played f**ing perfectly, unlike the first session where I admittedly made a few bad mistakes (thats what tilts me most)

Edit 2: (19.00)

Yeah, fu swings I win and I'm gonna get those sklansky bucks back later..

That really sounds tilting! Isn't there any auto rebuy feature? Any third party scripts doing it?

@^^ Nope no auto-rebuy, and I haven't found a script for it..

Week 1 Ongame

Hey hey, time for an update on my first onGame week!

0-5.4k: So.. I started out on a nice heater. Felt great, played pretty great.. still ran below EV.. what more can you ask for

5.4k-7.3k: Phew, was scared a bit there but had a nice comeback and felt great again. Feel-good times!

7.3k-9.1k: .... :f_cry: Lost all profit. Ran SORT OF bad, this totally sucked. I hate it when I lose all I won in a heater so fast. This is why my mindset sucks :P
This downswing was pretty interesting. Actually, my showdown winnings stayed the same but my non-sd wins just suddenly plunged into the depths. Why? I felt like everyone played like they had the nuts against me so I went on to fold a lot of bigish hands on turn or river. Maybe I wasn't bluffcatching enough? Or, on the other hand, maybe I saved myself from even more losses. I like to think the latter :)

9.1k-10k: Booya, great recovery again in like no hands at all! Woho.

10k-14k: Worst period of them all, just a lot of long losing sessions. What's worrying is that the non-sd change from 7.3k onwards have been staying the same (its still going down at the same rate). I think this might be partly due to my playing 8 or 9 tables and not being in my best state of mental fitness while doing it.

14k-14.5k: Today :P Played 400 hands shipped a nice +3 stack winning session, took a break to write this (+ go out a lil) to walk around with a booked winning session for a change =) Come back later! Currently only playing 6 tables, will probably increase to 7 but yeah, it feels better.

:f_thumbsup: I've been very good with reviewing my sessions. After every day I check out the biggest hands and my marked hands and post on the hj-forums. Poor Bierbauer has been swarmed I think :P It's usually 1-2 hands/session
:f_thumbsup: Hand amount. Have to give me thumbsup because I'll definately clear the bonus at this rate, although it could be better...
:f_thumbsup: Not been affected by how every other spewy reg plays here to play even spewier. Instead, I've adjusted and avoided stupid variance-heavy preflop battles.. they don't care if I don't 3bet a lot, they still ship AJ or TT or crap like that against me.

_mad: I haven't followed my schedule :( I've been sleeping too long. I don't get up because I need something to look forward to after wakening.. Thinking about playing some 10AM tourney regularly every day so I have to get up in time. We'll see
_mad: Amount of hands. Wtf? Well, since I haven't followed my schedule I haven't played as much as I was supposed to actually :(
_mad: Producing vids. All my vids are delayed. I think I should just do like 6-7 in one day for the whole month... just need to actually do it ;)
_mad: Tilt. I suck at losing in poker :f_p: It doesn't really affect my game that much (I dont do really stupid shit), but I walk around feeling bad about it and feel bad about it while playing... can't be good :O

lol lame ¤!=)/¤ing session I just had, flopped the nuts but got sucked out on or got majorly coolered throughout. Now back to like -$50 in total profit on ongame! fml

Hey there Fongie =) Wow you really seem to be running below EV again and again .. :/

But on the other hand you seem to be well skilled to crush these games =) So its only about time =)

A question for you: I think iv read somewhere in your blog in the past that you think NL100 might be softer than NL50, is that so?=)

Anyway, wish you good luck!

Thanks for the skill compliment, I'm trying my hardest to keep my confidence lol :f_p:

Yeah about NL100 v NL50, the first impression I got was that NL100 had more fish than any other limit I had played before. This is probably false.. I don't think the skill difference between NL50/100 is very large. Maybe the regs on 100 are better in average, but not much... tbh it's been so long since I played NL50 I don't really know, and I haven't got a sign that I'm actually beating NL100 yet for more than like 0.01bb/100 so I'm probably not a good person to ask ;)

In short, ofc you shouldn't break BRM or anything but don't be afraid to move up :) You can always move down if you don't like it ;)

On another note..

Been playing since 5pm today, started a tourney then which I'm still in.. approaching bubble with a decent stack. I entered big little tournament but got majorly sucked out on with 66 on J6x against J7 who runner runnered FH on me in one of the first hands... that's OK though cause at the same time I flopped a straight in the other tourney against someones top 2... what goes around comes around, and this time the luck came in the right place :)
I'm also in the $42k gtd, just started.

While playing these I've been 6-tabling onGame. Don't think I'll go back to 8-tabling again.. been playing pretty really well all day (well needed break yesterday I think) and finished the session +3,5 stacks.
Might be a problem shipping enough volume playing 6 tables though, I dunno :/ have to calculate how it's gonna work out, cause it has to...

Hey guys! Today's my birthday, and I thought in preparation for sick party tonight I'd post a small update.

This is all the ongame hands so far after ~2 weeks:

Didn't post ev line but its about 8 stacks below EV.

Yeah. Bit behind schedule so far but actually after 14 days I had exactly 4k points (needing 8k in 30 days) so I'm not that far behind.. which is surprising since I played about 7k hands less than I thought I would have to. Just have to not slack too much the next 2 weeks and I'll be fine there.

So, there's a short update. Cya :f_grin:
