Yesterday I played a session on Mansion but it ended after about 30 minutes. I made smoe realy bad moves which changed my mind little bit and I left tables, just for sure. Session finished in green numbers but I can't focus on FL theese days. Only one good moment yesterday: when popup showed me I cleared first 10$ of bonus. My BR is ~60$.
Then I tried to find some PLO SnGs (usually helps me to play better again) but after about 15 minutes, nobody joined any of them so I left Mansion and log in to Stars. But with PLO it was the same. I decided to play some MTT SnGs as a training for next BOTD turney. I joined 4.4$ 180 man and 2.2$ 90 man SnGs. Not everything went well and I finished 180 man after about 2.5 hours losing most of my stack in a flip AK vs 88. Everything ends few hands later when I pushed with AJ and get called by BB with AQ. I finished 25th (18 places paid). Second one went slightly better and I managed to get ITM, 4th place exactly:

PokerStars Tournament #143809664, No Limit Hold'em
Buy-In: $2.00/$0.20
90 players
Total Prize Pool: $180.00
Tournament started 2009/02/26 18:12:03 CET [2009/02/26 12:12:03 ET]

Dear knx.96,

You finished the tournament in 4th place. A $17.10 award has been credited to your Real Money account.

I recorded final table btw and I can upload it somwhere if anybody interested (no sound since I need music during game). Biggest problems I had when game become SH. Nothing I need for BOTD ofc...
BTW: Is anybody willing to review it and give me some advice? I don't have enough time to go thru handhistory and find some hands to post (I am obv too lazy )

For upcoming days it's realy hard to say if I will play FL or MTTs. I realy don't know what happened but I'll probably take a rest for a few days. Or I will continue with watching coaching videos (as I did last few days). It's interesting but I like watching videos more than playing myself...hopefully it will change in time and I'll be back to tables soon.

GL at the tables, readers :)

Hi all,

I didn't update for a realy long time since I didn't play too much FL. But now I am back so this is just to let You know...

I played only about 2k hands since last update cause I was on sick and couldn't focus on cash game. I sticked to MTTs but only two good turneys played. Already posted in "one milion" thread so just in short:

PokerStars Tournament #145844763, No Limit Hold'em

Buy-In: $2.00/$0.20
799 players
Total Prize Pool: $1598.00

You finished the tournament in 5th place. A $83.90 award has been credited to your Real Money account.

PokerStars Tournament #146536499, No Limit Hold'em
Buy-In: $4.00/$0.40
180 players
Total Prize Pool: $720.00

You finished the tournament in 2nd place. A $144.00 award has been credited to your Real Money account.

PokerStars Tournament #145813255, No Limit Hold'em
Buy-In: $5.00/$0.50
150 players
Total Prize Pool: $750.00

You finished the tournament in 7th place. A $26.25 award has been credited to your Real Money account.

By that I boosted my PS bankroll (deposited only because of BOTD) from 50$ to ~300$, good for me

I played some SnGs and DoNs as well but I am allmost breakeven. I am realy bad DoN player.... On Mansion I played few jackpot SnGs. My game style was win or nothing so results are: 10 times total, ITM 4 times, won 4 times

And finally some FL update. I am still playing .10/.20 SH on Mansion and doing OK there. Even when there are tons of realy bad players who permanently suckouting me on the river. But You have to love them, some hands will follow.
Graph since last update:

Mansion BR: ~85$
Bonus cleared: 10$

I am going to play three, maybe four tables. I can play with four full size tables from now on cause I withdrawed some money and bought new 24 inch LCD. And it's definetelly better then before...

I hope I will update regularly from now on so wish me good luck and till next time GL at the tables :)

Hi,

Finally I had some time to play little bit more. I'm happy for ~ 1.5k hands since last post because it's more than I played first two weeks in March (still, only 8 playing days so far). Moreover when I had some profit (70BB exactly).
I'm slightly getting used to multitabling. I'm playing three or four tables without any problems or timeouts which is nice. One month ago I was not able to play four FR tables....However I'm going to play three tables most of time and focusing on my postflop game where I found some leaks I have to fix. For next days/weeks I'm going to reread some articles and join as many coachings as possible.
I cleared another part of bonus so I have to clear only 80$ in two weeks . But most important for me is working on my game.
My bankroll is on ~ 110$ and growing.

BTW: I found there is still some bonus on Party (not milion $ hand, but some nondeposit bonus) and I have to collect 20PP to clear it so I will probably give it a shot if I will find some good tables there...

Hi,

during last week I took my first shots at 25c/50c SH. Total of ~ 1k hands in 6 days, which is very low number for most of You, but for me it's more than enough. I found there is allmost no difference between 20c and 50c tables except of one: I can hardly find tables with more than three 60+/0/0 guys. It's probably caused by my playing time since I'm not able to play at peak times.
I played some sessions on Party, but there are allmost no good tables at my time. So I tried Stars as well and have to say WoW. Players there are....just crazy. I don't know what is happening there at peak time but at european mornings it's awsome.
Well, when I started my first sessions, everything went fine, I hit some flops, no ugly rivers.....it took them three days to wake me up and start applying their "suckout" game.

However I'm happy with my decission to move up (not yet on Mansion) and hopefully will be able to show You some positive results soon...

0.25/0.50 SH graph so far:

Party ~410$ (wasted some money on MTTs)
Stars ~ 277$ (made some money on MTTs)

... 10 months later

Hi everybody,

it's time to another update (bit later than usual but better later than never) :f_biggrin:

I'm not very good at describing the past so just in short.
Here is the rest of 2009 (since my last update) by month - mostly FLSH with some NLFR and NLSH shots (together about 2k hands). I played some SnGs and MTTs as well, but didn't track any nonholdem results.

April - 0.1/0.2$ & 0.25/0.5$ FLSH (Party,iPoker,Boss,Stars)
May - June - 0.25/0.5$ FLSH (mostly Party)
July - 0.5/1$ FLSH (mostly Party)
August - 0.5/1$ FLSH (Party, Stars)
October - 0.5/1$ FLSH (Boss)
November - 0.5/1$ FLSH (Party, Stars)
December - 0.5/1$ FLSH (Party)

And whole 2009 graph:

I was playing very bad, but still not bad enough to bust. This will hopefully get better since on December I restarted my learning process. As You can see there was realy something wrong last year.

With the start of a new Year I decided to deposit to stars and clear the deposit bonus. Since I'm not tracked I'll be bronze again in February, but it happens...I had some money there so after deposit of 600$ I was at ~ 800$ on 3rd of January. I was mixing 0.5/1$ FLSH with MTT SnGs and MTTs and last week was sitting on little bit over 1k$.
Right now I'm mixing 0.5/1$ with 1/2$ and since the difference is not so big, I'm preffering 1/2 over 0.5/1 when good tables are running. On top of redeposit bonus I bought 50$ bonus on January sale for 3k FPPs so I have 200$ in bonuses to clear (3350VPPs total needed). I have tree months to clear both of them so it should be doable. As a high volume player I made about 1300VPPs so far during 6k hands this month (some MTTs played as well) :f_biggrin:

I hope I'll post earlier then 10 months from now and by keeping this blog alive force myself to working on my game constantly.

January seems to be OK so far so summary will hopefully follow in a few days. Till that time, have fun :)

As promised, January summary is here:

Even when played just about 6k hands, I'm getting back my confidence I lost during last Year. I was sticking to strategy provided by PS and following silver SH charts. On the other forums everybody was telling me 24/18 is no longer profitable style and loosening up is necessary (26/20 and up) - actually it's not. Well, on tables full of regs it probably is, but I'm not playing those. Of course every single table is different, but it's nice to see silver charts can be used even on 1/2 (very small samplesize though) :f_biggrin:

Here is the graph (~1.5BB/100):

Even when I'm not a big fan of a "goal setting" thing, let's write down some "doable" ones:

Goals for February:
- review my sessions (at least once a week)
- don't force myself to play for whatever reason
- read at least one article once a week (based on session review)
- attend TB's coachings

- meet a goals

See you :f_biggrin:

I'm still a PS.com tragic kennyxx so you have some company!

I think the key point is that the PS.com style as presented is based on theorectical optimums v other players playing theoretical optimums. Just like economics, this doesn't reflect reality, hence the looser playing styles should, in theory, increase your win rate assuming you continually make the best +EV post flop decisions.

I think PS.com theory does reflect this though if implemented correctly - the challenge as I see it is appropriately loosening your range given the opposition, and ensuring you really get on top of the thin value bets and bet/fold v bet/call v check/call lines.

Beside this, I think it is important to really understand the thought processes of those using other strategy sites so you know where the 32/26 LAG is coming from in order to optimally exploit them, like they're trying to exploit you as a 25/20 TAG.

Just my current theory on things FL anyway.
