you guys are so funny with your NL downswings... You should see a sng downswing!

I have lost today *in like every imaginable way (or almost): lost with AA to A5o where he made a flush on the river, lost an impossible to count number of coinflips and 60-40's, tried to bluff with a fullhouse on the board he had quads, etc...

But you get used to it. You really do. The bigger the downswing the bigger your resistance to future downswings. In 2 months you won't give a fwck on your 10BI swing. But you will on a 20BI one i guess... Until you have one of those and get out of it.

* I have not only lost today of course. An estimate is i'm down 75BI right now and this happened in 2 months. While my wrists are ok i do sometimes get a little pissed off or feel simply like puking. But life is beautiful!

sounds like we need to some more sweating and evaluating. Im moving to ftp in the coming days so we can work out how bullshit ftp is. Lol.
I know they look like messed up but these are good hand in hind sight. You got all of them in ahead, i think there was one flip but your getting in with the best of it so dont feel to down even though your br is coping a hiding.
I still think we could find some leaks to make your bb/100 abit steaper so these downswings dont hit so hard. Other than that. Gl. Tlk to you on skype.

BB steaper? its -bb

well make it at least + then :)
This is just a bump in the road we need to get past. But playing 500k hands in a year won't help it, we need to talk about hands, not just say. "I dunno"

Hmm, beating stakes is more volume dependant than time dependant.

yea i have to agree ... if a player play only 1-2 tables 10hours a week so
if he cant beat a limit in 3 mounths its understandable...

BUT...
toby said he plays 50k hands per mounth........
so he for sure doing something wrong...

by the way my advice is play less tables!!!! its obviece that 50k hands
per mounth dont get you anywhere...
so try less tables and less volume and smack that bitch up up up!!!

yea, variance is a bitch, can u imagine what it does at higher than NL10 lims? at 1k+ plrs are decently matched and u lose 10k like ntg not doing anything wrong. thats pokah baby.. just sirvival of the fittest, u gotta live with it and show less tilt than others, thats the skill then!

Oops, missed that!

BTW after I went through my crises of getting smashed it took me about another four months to realise that the answer was to reduce volume massively and increase study massively. Worked out okay for a while.. I've just gotta stop myself grinding too much without matching it with study. :f_p:

The second part of that is the quality of the study. I posted hands, reviewed judged hands, read articles, attended coachings, read books etc, but not in the most beneficial way.

Ensuring your study time is used effectively, and that you can demonstrate your learnings is the most important aspect of all.

Good luck dude. I know the place you occupy too well!.
