I think you are completely right. If this is not written in rules and conditions PS staff may not ask for that.

I hope PS will cahnge their rules and condition soon and maybe even send a caution to all new first starting capital candidates that PS may need a photo of candidate with ID next to his face if needed.

Anyway.....if u send them yor photo with ID you will get your 50 for sure and if you will play enaugh u will get your additional 100 as well.

It your choise but i really understand you and i hope PS will do something on that issue soon.

maybe all of us posters are the same persons just to fool you... maybe we started 1000's of threads and blogs and created the site in many different languages just to make it seem like this is the real deal.... maybe we want a live picture just to make you CRY ;(....

For real though. Poker is about patience. It takes a long time to start making money. Now, i can tell you that unless you play in the higher stakes, this is going to be the easiest way for you to get 50$ in a poker account. Secondly, there are other poker rooms that give you a much harder time to cash out. When I wanted to cash out 300$ from everest poker, they requested:
picture of credit card, both back and front
picture of my ID
picture of a utility bill
they required me to print out a form, sign it and then scan it into the computer with my signature and my card numbers and send it to them.

Just take the picture already, all the effort of starting this thread and you could instead be playing poker right now with free money.

There is nothing underhand going on. PokerStrategy reserve the right to request whatever they deem necessary to identify the applicant. It also reserves the right to refuse any application.

I assume that if you were going to give vast amounts of free money away freely on the internet, you would also wish to check that people are who they say they are too.

Hope this clarifies the position. If anyone really objects to providing suitable ID, they can of course deposit their own funds and still benefit from the great strategy material and so much more on this site.

I have also send this kind of documents but NEVER, a picture of me.

i have also been requested for a photo of me holding the ID version they require ... i have not got a problem with doing that but surely if IT is part of the requirements you shgould be asked for that in the email request for ID proof

maybe he doesnt want the live pic because his ID pic caught his good side and hes just really ugly....

My $50 was declined but i stopped moaning ages ago must have been for a good reason. my friends all got it fine.

Even if you dont send ur pic for the free 50 i suggest sticking around here and using the other bonuses and strategy articles its the best thing thats happened in my poker life so far (including beating quad aces with a royal ♠_biggrin: )

jesus are you really that stupid? its there in black and white - they reserve the right t ask you for whatever documentation they deem to satisfactory to verify your age or identify. yes a 'real photogrpah of you is a valid document.

u can only surmise that the id and photo wont match with all the fuss he's make of this simple request, so that ps.com can give him $50. ♦

For the record, I wouldn't have sent any copies of any personal documents or photos, had I been requested to do so long ago when I signed up. I'd rather deposit my own money in order to enjoy the strategy material. No matter how well reputed the company was, I wouldn't have done it. But that's just me.

I can understand why the OP is hesitant avout sending in a headshot, and to some degree also the anger over being asked for it. However, it is not anybody's divine right to receive the starting capital, but a privilege. If you do not want to fulfill the requirements set by the support people, then don't. Your choice.

I think it would be nice though, if PS could update the T&Cs with explicit informarmation that one might have to send in a headshot.

we absolutely understand if you are not confident with sending certain documents to an unknown site, regardless its reputation.

There is, however, no reason for this disruptive behaviour - if you do not wish to participate in the Community due to whatever reasons, I am very sorry, but this does not allow one to act up in such a way on our forums.
