I dont know about you but I would go for like the final table as they have the only decent prizes. According to his stats I think you beat his range by far.
Also, I dont like people who defend their BBs with a call/donk. Unless the opponent is addicted to flop-seeing and can fold on the flop easily. Which is probably not you
I say shove it and start collecting chips for the heads up. 1 first place is better than like 10 10th places so don't save yourself, unless you are really close to a big gap in the prizes.

Bet 2,5k-2,7k on the flop and insta call his shove. No need to bet bigger. You want him to see that he have fold equity.

by raising to 2.5k, 2.7k i am giving the very nice equity for him to call with an OESD or a FD. I'd need to bet pot size for maximum protection and then I am pot commited anyway.

So, what do you do when you have here AKo? You bet potsize there and call a shove because you are commited to the pot? Or you are just check/fold this flop?

i think ur misreading this hand (like i do first time)-> BB donks int hero on BTN, hero dint Cbet
the hand goes like this
hero on BTN open raise with JJ
bb calls
flop Td9d5s, BB donks into hero 1600
(pot on flop is 4900, Hero have ~10k behind left, BB had him covered ~31kleft, 5handed)

in my opinion you played a very nice hand:
Preflop with an M of 7,4 even pushing is an option, but for value-reasons youre raise is probably better.

At the flop youre mostly in front of him but have to protect vs. many draws and so strong protection is the best way.
And because each normal raise would commit you, the push is the best way of protecting your hand!
