I thought it would be helpful to make a thread with the observations our players have made in regards to generalizations or trends you see particular nationalities exhibit.
For example some generalizations I've observed or seen others comment about :
- Aggressive Finnish/Northern Europeans - very aggressive in all instances of a hand
- "Chinese Shortstackers" - all in every hand from cutoff/button
- "donked in Argentines" As to my countrymen I'd say "donked in Argentines" - the nastiest MTT's I've ever played were those Argentines $100 freerolls and other all Argentine tourneys pokerstars has posted - you get someone shoving all in, from any position, for no particular reason every hand - even with nothing. So you eventually have to get into 70/30 situations where in the long run you'll lose to someone, or you loosen up and call those donks with marginal hands like AJ or KQ to discover you called the only guy that really had something - AK, AQ, KK, etc. Never got close to the money in a single of those tourneys.
I think a related thread about trends by username would be interesting if anyone observes usernames a lot .. I don't .. but if there is something useful to look at I definitely will.
