Just checked on BongBob again, he looks like he has chipped up to about 20,000 chips now.

There are about 400 players left, and blinds are at 400/800 with 100 ante.

BongBob just bust out of event #47 and did not make it into the money.

Here are some hands that BongBob told me about.

In his second last hand, he opened T 9 against a shorter BB, BB got it all in and BongBob called. Villain has A 6.

Then he open min-raised the button with 20bb left, BB put him all in and he called. AJ vs AQ, they were set for a chop on the turn with T T 8 8 on the board, but the river A sent BongBob to the rails.

Before that, he had also flopped a set, and donked the flop tat had two hearts,, bet the turn which is another heart but checked down the river when the fourth heart hit. Villain had a heart and won the hand.

RobbieV - busto

RobbieV hit the rails before i could find him, he started with 30bb, lost a few small pots and was already down to half his stack. He raised AJ, got three callers and had to check/fold the flop. Same thing with KQ. He then called a raised with KQ, and had to fold flop again. When he was down to 16bb, he shipped it after a raise from the same guy (in the KQ hand) with 55, and villain snap called with AK. Villain hit and knocked RobbieV out.

Nazgul was seated with Men "The Master" Nguyen before their table just broke. When I was asking Nazgul for chip counts, Nguyen said "Since I moved here, he played very tight. Before that i don't know".

LederJoe asked me to post up a message here "I hate Scandinavians"

Chip counts updates from Event #49. A total of 2,543 players registered and the blinds are not up to 100/200 with 25 ante.

Nazgul - 17k
Allanon - 6k
chenny8888 - 7k
innerpsycho - 8.5k

LederJoe - 6.7k

Tonding Busto

Nazgul lost a huge 40k pot with KK vs AA all-in pre-flop. He would've went up to 54k then if he won that.

cYde who is sitting with Nazgul on the same table lost a flip with AQs vs JJ. It was CO vs SB.

Tsubi says he has a bad table image. He cold 4-bet with KK, was called by ATs and villain sucked out. "You can think about my image"

The Event #50 $5k Pot Limit Omaha event has also just started. BongBob and three other PokerStrategists are playing in that event.

Here's a final update on both events before we go on a dinner break.

Event #49 is down to around 900 players now. Blinds are up to 150/300 with 25 ante.

Chip counts:
Allanon - 12k
Nazgul - 15k
cYde - 15.5k
Tsubi - 12k
LederJoe - 15k
innerpsycho - 7.5k

mongooserus, chenny8888, eleph, Tonding and fabstinho all bust since the last update.

Allanon said he had 5xAA and 3xKK today, but 4 out of 5 AA were in the SB and he only picked up the blinds as everyone folded.

LederJoe said all his chips came from 3-barrel bluffs, he was down to around 6k before he made a nice rebound.

Tsubi was also down to a pretty short stack, but doubled up through a suckout with A4 vs 99, he had repushed with 16BB left.

In Event #50, here are the chips counts:

BongBob - 14k
Jan1000 - 12k
psychobenny - 12k

After the close of registration, 2,543 players signed up for the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em event. 270 of them will be paid. The total prize pool is $3,433,050 and the winner will be paid $609,493. Around 850 players remain at the dinner break.

The tournament of champions played for another 4 hours today and lost 5 more players. The 5 who hit the rails today were Doyle Brunson, Joseph Cada, qualifier Andrew Barton, Mike Sexton and Dan Harrington.

Mike "the mouth" Matusow assumed the chip lead after Day 2 and has 85,500 chips. Huck Seed and Johnny Chan follow behind him.

Here are the chip counts at the restart of the $1.5k NL Hold'em Event. Blinds here are now 200/400 with 50 ante

Allanon 24.5k
Nazgul 9k
LederJoe 32.5k
cYde 22k
innerpsycho 7k
Tsubi 11.5k

LederJoe made a double up before the break. He got in all in on the flop with T 9 4 showing on the board. It was AA vs QQ. One of the players on his table added "He didn't smile when he won"

For the PLO event, there were some mistakes in the chip counts i gave you before. The event is actually a triple chance event, and players started with 3k chips each and were given 3 rebuy chips worth 4k each. Here are the corrected chip counts:

BongBob 14k, no rebuy chips
FA_Morgoth 4k, no rebuys
Jan1000 7k, 1 rebuy
psychobenny 20k, 1 rebuy

Here's another hourly chip count update from both events

Nazgul busted out with AQs vs TT with around 25bb left. He had been losing every big pot throughout the day. There was the KK vs AA setup, he lost QQ vs A9 and finally the flip at the end.

LederJoe lost a big chunk of his stack to a hero call on the river. He had tried a 3 barrel bluff, first c-betting the flop, then betting the turn on an OESD, and then barreling the river, villain called him with mid pair.

Allanon meanwhile said he played a strange hand against a shortie.

He bet QQ:s from UTG to 900, every folds, BB calls with 6k left. Flop 9 7 5 2 spades :s, villain donks 1k in a 2.5k pot and Allanon calls. Turn 8 was a bad card for Allanon, villain bet 2k and Allanon called again with a good overpair. The river was 2:s completing the flush draw, villain bet 2k again into the now 8.5k pot, Allanon said he made a WTF odds call. Villain showed J J

Another update from the $1.5k NL Hold'em event.

Chip counts:

Allanon 16k
LederJoe 14.5k
cYde 72k
innerpsycho 14k? (lost him after the table break)

The players just went on the last 20 minute break of the day, 2 more levels to go and there are around 500 players left. Blinds will be up after the break to 400/800 with 100 ante.

Allanon lost a 20k pot with AA against a shortie. He called an UTG raise fom EP. villain checked dark and the flop came J 5 2, Allanon bet 2.6k with villain having just around 7.5k behind, villain ships and Allanon calls. villain had made a set with 55.

cYde has had a really good run of cards today. He made a Royal flush and also hit quads two hands after that.

In the first hand, his opponent was a calling station who limps 85% of his hands and calls down very often to the river. He raised AQs from MP and villain called withA3o. Flop came A K J giving him the nut flush draw, top pair and a gutshot. Turn T completed his Royal Flush. He made a small bet, on the turn, and shoved the river on a blank card and got called both times.

2 hands later, he checkd K5 from the BB and it was a 4-way pot. Flop came K 6 K rainbow, he bet and SB called. Turn K, SB leads and he just calls. River 7, SB checks, he bets pot, villain insta calls with a 6. Villain said he put cYde on a flush draw, which didn't make sense because it was a rainbow board.

He then 4-bet shoved AK for 70bb and picked up the pot after the 3-bettor folded.

An update from the $5k PLO, blinds are now 100/200

BongBob 13k
Jan1000 8k
psychobenny 10k

Saw an interesting hand on BongBob's table

UTG raised t 52, BongBob made it 1,200 from MP3, CO calls and BB calls, UTG asks for a count of BongBob's stack (13k left) and 4 bets to 6,100.

At this point Phil Hellmuth shows up (he is almost 6 hours late, and he throws away an $10 voucher that they give you for every buy-in. Don't know if i should go back and pick it up)

BongBob folds, CO calls, BB calls (they were all big stacks while BongBob was short).

Flop 4:d A:c 6:s BB checks, UTG checks, CO goes all-in and everyone folds.

CO shows 2 3 4 5, and said "good flop for my hand". Hellmuth chimes in "Is this Omaha 8 or better? (Hi/Lo)"

Latest chip counts from the $1.5k No Limit Hold'em event.

Allanon 24k
LederJoe 10.5k
cYde 60k

Allanon said he has picked up QQ+ more than 15 times in this event today. He is however a loser with AA, a small winner with KK and a winner also with QQ.

We are now into the last level of the day and blinds are 500/1000 with 100 ante.

Just 2 of our players are left in the PLO event as Jan1000 bust out.

Over 370 players remain in the event from the 460 who signed up and blinds are now 150/300.

BongBob has 8.5k chips while psychobenny has 20k. BongBob hasn't been able to do much with the cards he has been getting, i haven't really seen him play a hand yet for some time now.

The total prize pool for this event is $2,162,000. 45 players are paid and the winner gets $508,090.

We've just bagged up in Event #49, $1.5k No Limit Hold'em

Two of our guys are left after LederJoe bust out right before the final level of the day started.

Allanon finished with 31k, cYde with 68.9k

The clock shows 315 players remaining but it hasn't changed for at least half an hour. I suspect the final count should be closer to 290 players.

Blinds on Day 2 will start with 600/1,200 with an ante of 100.

psychobenny is the only player left in the PLO event after BongBob busted in the last level. He has around 18.6k left. The second last level has just started and blinds are 200/400.

btw, psychobenny's table broke and he is now seated with Ayaz Mahmood to his left.

The $5k PLO event just concluded, psychobenny finished with 63,200 chips.

Jonathan Little was sitting at psychobenny's table, he finished with 41,000 chips.
