Here's a quick update after 2 hours, unfotunately, i have bad news from Team PokerStrategy.com as both RobbieV and ScHnibL0r busted. ScHnibL0r's bust out hand was especially sick. But first, the chip counts:

Tonding 67k
Jan1000 11k
Nichtschwinner 96k
chessmasterD 76k
Panny1 140k
simon1989 98k
innerpsycho 120k
eleph, RobbbieV and ScHnibL0r busto

The last hand from RobbieV was as follows, didn't know what happened before that, but he had around 5k chips here.

One player limps, Michael Mizrachi raises, RobbieV goes all-in, one more players goes all-in, all fold. RobbieV: "That's the first hand you played all day, Aces of Kings?". It was AA, and RobbieV had 66. The board came A 5 K 3 6, and RobbieV sped off to try to register for the $5k event in the Bellagio.

Nazgul is playing in that $5k Bellagio Cup Event.

For ScHnibL0r, MP2 raised, ScHnibL0r re-raised from the CO (~2k), BU cold 4-bets (~6k), MP2 folds, ScHnibL0r tanks and goes all in for (~22k), BU calls almost instantly.

A:s A:c vs A:d K:h. The board ran out 3:c 4:h 5:h A:h Q:h to give villain a one card nut flush. _cry:

Catch first flight to Vegas and you know...marriages in Vegas are very often ;).

Here's something useful that they didn't put on the WSOP website, the starters list for Day 2A and 2B with their seat assignments:

Day 2A: http://ow.ly/d/4Mq
Day 2B: http://ow.ly/d/4Mr

If you know anyone on those lists tat are PokerStrategy.com members, give me their seat/table number + their ID and i'll start covering them. You can end me a private message via the community system if you want to keep their real names private. ;)

Leve 6 just completed and we are not on the 2nd break of the day. Blinds after the break are 300/600 with 75 ante after the break. Here are the chip counts:

Tonding 15k
Nihtschwimmer 106k
chessmasterD 73k
Panny1 125k
simon1989 70k
innerpsycho 115k
HenrikX 11.5k
MongooseRus 30k
Jan1000 busto

simon1989 told me that he lost a bunch of chips in a setup hand. It was a limped pot with 3 limpers and he checked from BB with 9 6. Flop came 9 9 5, and i'm not too sure what happend after that, but he lost to villain who had 9 8.

HenrikX went all in twice in a row when i was at his tables. He only took down the dead money each time. Meanwhile on he table right next to him, a shortie with just 3.3k went all in blind from BB. He flopped over 7d 2d after getting called and board came out 2 2 x x 7. Easy game :f_cool:

Tonding lost two huge pots in 5 hands to go down to around half the starting stack. One player limped, villain made it 1,125, 4 called and Tonding was in the small blind. The flop came 8 5 2 , Tonding donked 2.5k, and villain called.

Turn Q:s, both check. River 7, Tonding bets 6.2k, villain makes it 15.4k and Tonding calls. Villain turned over 46o, which means he flopped a double gutshot.

A little after that, Tonding had been raising at least the 3rd hand in a row, and this time in MP3 he makes it 1,200, BU, SB, BB all calls. Flop comes 8:h 2:c Q:s, blinds check, Tonding made it 3,400, BU called and blinds fold.

Turn 5:h, Tonding checks, BU bets 7,000 and Tonding throws in enough chips to put villain all in (~25k total), villain insta calls. Tonding had A:s Q:c, while villain had 8:c 8:s

MongooseRus

HenrikX

Slow hour, not too much to report. Chipcounts:

Tonding 13k
Nichschwimmer 80k
chessmasterD 97k
Panny1 130k
simon1989 75k
innerpsycho 130k
HenrikX 20k
MongooseRus 25k

Here's a big pot from chessmasterD:

3 limp, chessMasterD raises to 3,200 with A:c K, one call. Flop 8 5 3 :c, chessMasterD bets 4,800, villain called. Turn T:c, chessmasterD bets 12,000, villain raises to 25,000, chessmasterD calls (he said he had good odds to call). River K:c, check check.

HenrikX also made a double up. He open pushed AK from UTG+1 with 16BB left. Villain called with QQ. Flop came A K x. Easy game. _cool:

Players are taking another break now after we finished level 7. Blinds are up again, now at 400/800 with 100 ante.

Chip counts right now:

Tonding busto
NichSchwimmer 84k
chessmasterD 100k
Panny1 150k
simon1989 70k
innerpsycho 130k
HenrikX 55k
MongooseRus 17k

HenrikX won two big pots, doubling up the first time and getting 3 streets of value the 2nd.

In the first hand, he raised KQ from UTG, MP called. Flop came K Q x, he bet the flop, the turn and shoved the river and got called down.

In the second one, he called a button raise with A4o from the big blind. The flop came A 4 x, he bet 3 streets and got called down as well.

Not long after that, there was a huge ~200k pot on his table. UG raised to 1.5k, HenrikX called, MP2 made it 5k, and both called. Flop A:c 8:d 3:h, two check, the preflop 3-bettor throws in 11k, UTG calls and HenrikX folds.

Turn Q:c, UTG donks 18.5k, MP2 goes all in for around 80k total, UTG calls. T:s J:h vs 8 8 (MP1 shoved with a double gutter). River K:s and UTG had just 3.7k left after the hand.

Dragan Galic the current chipleader (according to WSOP.com)

Jan1000 (far left) vs Patrik Antonius (this was before he busted)

That dealer looks hot.

Dinner break! _love: _love:

Here are the chip counts when I did my rounds before the break:

Nichtschwimmer 77k
chessmasterD 25k
Panny1 115k
simon1989 135k
innerpsycho 149k
HenrikX 65k
MongooseRus 14k

Not sure what happened to chessmasterD's stack, but will try to find out for you during the break.

simon1989 made a sick call in the hand below:

simon1989 raised UTG 2k, SB (player with some history with him) re-raised to 7k, simon calls. Flop K T 2 :s, simon checks, villain bets 8,700, simon calls.

Turn 3, simon checks again, villain goes all in for 21,000, simon tanks for more than 5 minutes before calling. villain flips over As Qs, simon has 5 5.

He said he had a read on his opponent but wasn't too sure it was the right read. He also added that the guy looked really nervous.

After that, he took down another nice pot:

MP3 raised, simon called from the BB. Flop 8:h 5:s J:c, Simon checks, MP3 bets 3.5k, Simon called. Turn A:c, both check. River K:s, Simon bets 7.1k, villain tanks and calls. Simon had a better two pair with A:d 8:d vs K:c 5:c.

Also saw innerpsycho took down a big pot without showdown. Villain raised preflop, innerpsycho called from the BB. Flop 6:s K:c Q:d, innerpsycho checks, villain bets, innerpsycho raises, villain calls. Turn 9:s, innerpsycho bets, villain calls. River Q:h (there was 30-40k in the pot at this time i think) innerpsycho bets 27k, villain tanks for some time until a clock got called and villain folded.

original pic here. Not hot for vegas standards, but probably one of the better looking dealers around.

Looked better from distance! you can keep your close up!

We're back from dinner break, two more hours to go before the day ends.

Original von chessmasterD
As I said, busted on the first hand i played afte the dinner break. MP3 raises 2100, CO calls, i push JTo from the SB for 21k and MP3 had AA. FML.

Other than chessmasterD going busto, theres not too much to report in the last hour. We have just one hour left to play. Blinds are now up to 500/1,000 with 100 ante. We have lost less than half of the starting players for the day.

Nichtschwimmer 130k

Something interesting from PokerNews

We had our heads buried in our computers when we heard, "Three-way all in, Table 289!"

"Rob! Rob!" Michael Mizrachi was standing up and motioning for his brother to come over. Robert is at the adjacent table, and he stood up. "Aces versus kings versus queens!" Grinder said. When we and Robert got over to the table, it was brother Michael on the good end of things with A:d A:c against an opponent with K:d K:c and another with the third-best Q:c Q:g. The two trailing players were both all in for about 30,000 apiece, and Grinder had them covered. As the ESPN cameras scrambled from around the room, the dealer ran the board:

3:s J:d 4:c 5:h J:h

Mizrachi's aces hold to earn him the double knockout, and he's thusly chipped his way up to about 142,000.
