This looks like a good ATC spot, and 83s is significantly better than 83o.

According to the ICM, the BB needs 59.48% equity against your range to call (ties count as 69% of a win). So, even if he puts you on ATC, he needs to have a top 20% hand to call. (Nash calculator.) Stealing the huge blinds 80% of the time is great, and you aren't dead when called.

I think most players won't have the guts to call with hands like A4s or KTo which are in the Nash calling range. Many players would mistake getting crippled with busting out, even though it is possible to bounce back.
