hmm if memory serves me well - usual raise is 4x BB +1BB for every limper and +1BB if 1 or more players are in position on you.
3bet is like 3x someone's raise+1x more his raise for every caller and 1x more if you're oop on some player who's in that hand.
That should roughly be it, since I'm not followin' the rules, can't guarantee it's correct

one big bet = two big blinds
big bet is used in limit poker in pokertracker initially and it was carried over for NL as well, hence the term PTBB (pokertracker big bet) which is double that of a big blind

I used to have post-it notes around my screen saying things like "stop and think" and other stuff relating to recent leeks I found, it does actually work. However, I would have to change the post-it note colour and position on the screen because I start to ignore it lol. I took a break after yesterday's session, I was just so annoyed at myself!

Well I just played my first session since Wednesday, my stupidity really tilted me pretty bad, so I stayed away. I got myself in the right frame of mind, had coffee and toast by my side, even an incense stick going to keep me relaxed! I posted a small profit, but more importantly I never made those glaring mistakes that were all too evident earlier in the week! A 400+ hand session is a good start, may have another one later.
I am at it again, silly me stacking off yet again! It is so frustrating, and it was from the SB against BB. I think I will stop playing the SB unless I get TT+ or AKs, according to my Holdem Manager I am quite literally burning money from the SB. I did tighten it a little today, but it still got me in a few gross spots, so I will avoid it unless I get a premium hand. Hate going to bed on a sore point, so I will have to find something to make me smile before I goto sleep, I may have to go and play Football Manager ♦
Well I just played my biggest session in a while 900+ hands was 6 tabling as much as I could, 7 on the odd occasion when I was waiting for a crap table to get round to my blinds. It was really nice to be on the other end of the stupid decisions, with a seemingly solid player 4-bet shoving with JTs into my aces pf, I had a full stack and he had me covered and some.

I am happy the way today went, my graph is back above break even! Also I am well on my way to playing my 10k hands, having 4.5k behind me. Anyway, enough poker for me today, I am going to watch Gran Torino now.

In case you haven't read any other parts of my blog, I am currently playing NL5 FR at FTP. Table selection has become a bit irritating for me recently, here is my process, I sort the tables by players/flop and I star looking at full tables with avg. pots >$1, basically I add myself to as many waiting lists, normally until the ply/flop is below 24% or something. However, if there are 3 or more players marked with red already at the table, I do not join the list, the red marking means I have 50+ hands on the player and their VPIP is below 15.
Is this strategy ok?
Then I am sat at the table, and I occasionally glance at the tables averege VPIP on my HUD and if that is below 15, then I am looking to replace the table, unless there is a massive fish at the table. Bearing in mind that I play pretty tight myself, running 11/8 over 6k hands.
am I being too tight on table selection/replacement?
I haven't posted in a while, progress has been slow as I have been suffering bad migranes ♠_evil:
But, that being said I have reached 8.5k hands playing 10.4/7.7 at a rate of ~11BB/100 so it is going really well, I am happy. I was going to post a graph to look at, but I figure I may as well wait until I have hit 10k hands.

I played for the first time in ages yesterday for various unfortunate reasons, so I FINALLY hit 10k hands, yay!
I am fairly happy to finally have hit 10k hands, and I look forward to the next 10k, hopefully some of them will be on NL10. I am glad that I took the step down to NL5 though, I have learnt(or re-learnt) a lot of things by watching videos on here. Hopefully when I step up I will be more focused and really beat NL10 than floating around like before.
I am just waiting for FT's early morning happy hour to heat up so the tables look a little nicer. I should load up Ipoker, but the recent problems have put me off, plus they don't have decent NL5 tables, they get better at NL10 though.
