Ok it doesnt look good. The columns dont appear the way they should.
So here it is again:

Basically with your starting capital of 50$, following a 20BI rule and a winrate of lets say 6 big blinds /100 hands you need:

From 0.02 to 0.04 bb : 25000 Hands
From 0.04 to 0.1 bb : 50000 Hands
From 0.1 to 0.2 bb : 33000 Hands
From 0.2 to 0.5 bb : 50000 Hands
From 0.5 to 1 bb : 33000 Hands

This situation is ridiculously unlikely. Maintaining a 6bb/100 at any major site is hard enough let alone having to do it consistently as you progress through the stakes.

I'd say do the math for this at 4bb/100 upto nl10 and 2bb/100 thereafter and you will get a much closer and realistic 'estimation'.

I was just trying to help here - not need to qualify my post of ridiculous.
You can do the maths yourself then.
Btw I dont think that having a winrate of 6bb/100 is unachivable to be honnest.

It is very much possible for the lowest limits but to learn and improve as much as you need to beat NL25, NL50 and NL100 it will take you quite a while before you reach the skillevel to beat the game at 6bb/100.

Not to mention that variance will also be a big factor when you're talking about this amount of hands. A 30k hands cold run is very possible no matter your limit which will take a while to recover from.

So even though your calculations are a good effort, they are not really that realistic in my oppinion.

Ok MrMardybum in his original Post ask how many hands it would take to move up the limits.

What I provided here was a rough indication to give him some sort of indications. Basically if he is doing grand he doesn't need 200000 hands to move from NL5 to NL10

I omitted indeed to say that I didnt consider variance in the calculations.
I am sure that you guys are mart enough to adjust these figures to whatever winrate you want.

Maybe I should also have add that you first need a + winrate to move up the limits.
