Sure thing. I will add you when I get home, busy day of uni today unfortunately... hence why I'm on PS.com

Anywho, my girlfriend had about 4 days off work in a row so I was only just able to play some poker for the first time in a while last night. It was tremendous. I played solely NL25HU (cause FR traffic is crap, I should really learn SH at some point). Only played about 700 hands but ended more than 5 stacks up for a profit of $130. Pretty pleased with that, ldo. Not only this but I also played some FR at FT, 16 tabled 1200 hands and ended up a further $85! All to make a net profit of $215 in a matter of 2 or 3 hours. Sustainable? Probably not. But it translates to about $310NZD which is pretty much my living expenses for the next 2 weeks

I keep telling myself ok, I'm going to put in lots of volume... and then I don't. I downloaded a couple of HU videos from a heathen other site and will probably watch those too. This is my last day of uni before a 2 week break so hopefully I'll be able to put in some real time. I'd like to move up to NL50 at some point on FT but I'm not sure when that will happen. I currently mix in a few NL50 tables in on PKR and have been running pretty well in them - simply ending one stack up every time in play is more than enough profit for me

Since I've got PKR to fall back on if FT turns to crap I think I'm going to use pretty aggressive BRM. If I can sustain any sort of win rate on NL50 all my troubles should be over. My ultimate goal is still to be able to make this a profession so I think I should stop being so ridiculously lazy and start working at moving up. This might mean some sacrifice but so what? It'll be more than worth it in the end, right?

Anyway enough complaining about how lazy I am (why am I even doing that anyway? Nobody wants to hear it). A large portion of my HU profit came from an extremely odd player at NL25 who bought in for $5, then $10, then $10, then $25 twice. I took $15 off his last stack before the end of my session. He had some incredibly weird seemingly random tendencies, but he was a megafish and megafish can always be easily exploited. He would never raise pre but instead would just limp/call and call my raises with everything, except when saturn was aligned with mars and instead would just shove over a few of my pf raises in a row. He would also attempt stupid bluffs on the river where if I checked the flop turn and river with him checking behind on the flop and turn, he'd randomly bet 10x pot or shove the river or something stupid most of the time. Obviously exploitable but often he'd just check back on the river and I'd end up getting zero value from my flopped trips or two pair or whatever.

Anyway it was fun. HU is a very interesting game. I'm definitely going to work on it a bit, as traffic is no problem - all you need to find is one fish and you can feed a family :) PKR SH traffic is also good so I'm going to have to try some as well. I figure learning other games will be helpful for my main FR game anyway, and I'll probably have to make the move to SH at some point during my poker career.

Today is the first day I've really seriously considered making this a profession. It seemed like a dream to me before...

I'm 3/4 of the way through my third year of compsci, a course I really enjoyed starting out. Just now I've realised how small the amount of effort I'm putting into it is. The fact that I've been hanging around on PS for most of today and last night, even though I have 2 assignments due today and a test earlier this morning just shows a) how badly I procrastinate and b) how I have yet to get sick of poring through poker forums trying to up my game.

I'm thinking of taking a gap semester at the beginning of next year to see if I have what it takes. But maybe my 4 months of summer holidays will be enough (lol). I'll have to see what happens.
