Yeah, well I admit I was lucky in the first qualifier, played a €8 rebuy (bought in 32) and was pretty lucky there. But today I played really well, I think I only made one small mistake (cbetting ak hi instead of cb) but thats it I think. I was really carddead last 3 hours (ask my railers ♦) but still managed to win after being 12bb for 3 hours. Thx PS for shortstacking skills
but yea everyone was very tight so was easy to exploit. Some where even tankcalling JJ in blindbattle for 15bb
in non-elastic $ev spots.
But yeah going for a few days longer to Ireland, already some nice trips planned besides the poker. Whiskey brewery, connemara lakes etc. I'm also gonna buy a good Canon in a few days, so prepare for some epic HQ pics ♠_grin:

I'm in need of some new challenge. Since I would love to be a allround/complete poker player like fa Ivey/Greenstein/etc, I am going to play as much FLHU this month as possible.
Why FLHU?
- The game is crazy and fun: you play 80% of hands and there are so many different possibilities and ranges are so wide that you can sometimes call down with Qhi profitably
- More mathematical: I'm pretty strong at math and it is something I miss a bit about NLHE. Tthere is much more psychology involved (ofc I like this aspect as well), but I want to sharpen my math skills again.
This will also make my feel for ranges better on different board textures etc (can also be applied to nlhe)
- Lots of waiting: I think this is an advantage for me cause I like reading books and playing guitar + it is also good to watch pokervideos and pause them when someone sits at your table.
- I always liked HU A LOT, yet didnt played it THAT much
- Improving tilt control, I'm probably going to see the most crazy things ever here so..
- Many players already have proven thats its profitable
I'm going to start at iPoker cause I have a good rb deal there which is kinda important for my current limit: 3/6, but ofc when i get too few traffic, I'm gonna include ftp/stars and maybe some smaller sites as well
I'll keep you updated ;).

Ofc HERO realises that its gonna be very tough to be a good winning player the first month but I'm gonna give it a try
So already played a few days FLHU, cliffs:
- Very fun
- Watched tons of videos
- Improved a lot
- Tilted like hell
On the one side i'm very happy that I did put so much time into improving but on the other hand I feel really bad cause this session is the first one in a long time where I tilted. I mean in NLHE especially FR, variance is just zero thus I havent tilted in months. Because of this I actually thought I worked it out of my game but nothing is less right. This session I played against a really bad maniac fish but he ran so incredibly hot I just couldnt resist donking plenty big bets to him. I also feel really stupid because of this actually, I feel such a fish and I hate myself for it :f_p:.
But I think it is a very good lesson for me. So FLHU will not only improve my hand ranges/board texture etc skills but also definately my mindset. Because i play something like 80/60 you see so many sick things that I'm pretty confident that in a few weeks this wont affect me anymore at all. Maybe when I increase limits this will be a problem again but thats the beauty. We always need to improve our game + mindset. Even when you think you have the 100% perfect mindset, you will still not always play your a+game.
While typing I actually realise a pretty crucial point where it might have started. Because I have 4 tables open (waiting), it can occur that I play against 2 players at the same time. I'm not yet even capable of playing close to my bgame on these 2 tables so I need to sit out immediately. This way I can focus on just one opponent.
Results: I was up a good amount until today where I lost over 100 big bets so I'm losing after 4 days (hardly even 1.5k hands I think). But ofc thats not a sample.
Anyways goodnight

Not playing 2 tables is very important. I'm still not good enough to win when I play 2 at the same time vs different opponents. It just takes so much concentration to play 1 that 2 is impossible for me

But really:
[ ]variance
and yea i know, my redline sucks blabla
Solid graph, but I see a 35BI downswing in there? Quite a lot of variance if you ask me ♦
Oops, that 18 not 35
GL with your new challenge. For myself I noticed that playing limit made me pretty tilt resistant after a while, hope it works for you too

ya, a 18 BI downswing still is very significant
Not with my crazy style of play ♦
