Again, should I just fold in this sort of situation and wait for the shortest to bust out ?

No-Limit Hold'em Tournament, 100/200 Blinds (4 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

2 folds, SB bets t500, Hero raises t1440 (All-In), SB calls t1040

I think you can push...
If he was shorter (like 500 chips) or if you had like 2500 then you could fold

whats the SB range?

you can get it in if hes > 30%.

if hes tight then u have to fold...

I think he should be over 30% so it should be a call

Hey thanks mate,

Why is it around 30% ? not 25/35% SnG Wizard ?

I think the raise and not a push raises some alarm bells, he could be trapping here because its a straightforward any 2 push here.

But i would still play it like you did most of the time anyway, except against a reg (this just reeks of a trap from a reg). Many randoms even though they are trapping, are trapping with ridiculous hands like QK, KJs, A8s, etc.. just stupid.

Push any2 ? don't I normally wait for a shorter stack to bust out ?

i meant it is a pretty straightforward any 2 push for many regs here from the SB.

Not for us to push Any 2 against him.

Do you have any particular reason to assume that the shorty will bust before you? Did you see them spazzing around or were they passive? What about the SB, did he make normal raises or did he use to shove? Has he been bullying you or other players?

These are just some factors you should consider. <3 already pointed out what range SB has to be on. I think that shoving is probably the standard play here, but that can really be a very wrong play depending on how you answer those questions.
