[Closed] 12$ 180man SNG - Can you fold KK?

really easy call, folding KK with 16bbs when everyone from 10-18th get the same money (a.k.a no bubble effect at all) is incredibly horrible.

No way I'm folding here. Easy push. Especially that the payout is the same for the next 4 spots at least.

easy shove , would hate that flop though if you did not post results

I agree, there is no way to fold in a 180man tourney...
But think about the bubble at the WSOP - what do you do?
(this is actually the question that came into my mind... playing the hand)

Here it is like "well, 12$ and KK? Easy push!"
In a major tourney on the bubble.... I just would start to cry ♦

I'd ship it at the WSOP. if I'm ever there I either satelited or have a huge bankroll anyway.

I can definately see myself folding this. It's is very likely Button has range on AA because it is just so bad to bubble in 7000-player tournament where bubble will burst in couple of hands.

Back to original question, I think I'll call here with JJ? JJ might be very borderline, but QQ is definately a call.

actually my original question was the major tourney example.
And I agree with you - It is just very likely to ran into AA in this spot and I don't care about my EV but just about making it ITM. ♦
In this situation I fold JJ (no reads) and call QQ too.

My issue here is that it's not the best spot in the world to play KK. I'd be thinking about weather or not I want to gamble here or making a crying fold.

UTG (who's a shortstack) limper ... MP1 just sticking it in AND BU overpushing ... that can't ever be a good spot for KK ...

if u read this right u r 13-15 players left so u r ITM and is not even close to FT bubble....
imo being on FT doesnt really change much it all depends in pay out structure, wining this hand gives u real shot on wining the whole thing so yea easy call imo

any way in big major tour like WSOP main...
First u never will be that shallow (20 bb) on final 2 tables so the action will never goes like that
Next what do u think is MP range here (assuming that he has 20bb stack) i take a shot and put him on AQ+,88+), is not like he is ever shoving AA-KK (speaking in major tour not in online turbo), and what do u think is BTN range here (imo if he knows that MP is never shoving AA-KK here his tighter range is def QQ+ AK)
what to u think UTG limping range is, if he has AA(or ax) it make less likely other to have AA?

and finaly wsop main even check this out and see what people are shoving with in wsop main 2010
so I'm in never folding KK preflop club

At Final2Tables my range woulde be KK+ provided that the 2 players are not overly loose.
At the Final Table you really should fold here.

yes, you can fold because there is a fold button ♦. Still don't think you should do it though because you loose way to much equity in the long run when folding in these spots.

folding:

wsop is close. thing about it in wsop is that often ppl are on a kk+ calling range anyway so w/ kk you are behind against their range. but if i thought players were on jj+ ak and i wake up w/ kk i'm never ever folding there either. payout in wsop is so top heavy that you can't justify passing up so many free chips in that situation either
