BB checks, BTN bets 65, BB calls 65

Turn: 3♦ (230, 2 players)
BB checks, BTN checks

River: 9♠ (230, 2 players)
BB goes all-in 1,670,

I think preflop and flop is standard. Checked back the turn I was ready to call any river (reasonable bet of course).

The river gave me trips and he went all in. 3rd hand of the game, no specific reads, he won a hand at showdown with top pair and better kicker.

ok im going to have a go at this.. im not HUSnG expert so chenny will probably laugh at me (ill get him to respond after me).

pre and flop looks good.

i think there is still some value in betting the turn in position. lot of draws out there that will gladly call turn and bluff river unimproved.

river looks super tough to me.... its hard to put him on the case 9 and 44 wouldnt play the flop/turn like that.. so i guess i call but its a tough one...

you're right

checking back flop is also an option as i hate to be check/raised off my hand here by a draw

So i called the river and he showed 44 And I tough...what a donkey I am but if you are also calling than i am not that big donkey

yeah it sucks. he's never bluffing IMO but i think we're ahead against his valueshoving range. cause he can easily have aa or kk or aq, decide to slowplay preflop then imagine himself w/ the nuts on the river.
