Vs TAG. He calls flop&turn, now what is his range? Imo it is flushdraws and JJ+ maybe some random stuff. Assuming he raises his sets on the flop or turn I decide to c/c river-he tanks and pots it... If he has QJ of hearts he is not potting the river, he knows I am not that strong and wants to get payed off. So this is a busted draw almost always.

With very aggro BU and SB this is a very high +EV play and starting to become quite standard move.
A little analysis of my play on NL50:
I think I started overdoing some things lately(too much agression, people still dont fold). Basicly I should start playing str8 for value and choose good spots to bluff. But dont bluff too much in some more marginal spots where I know if I was them I would be folding but they just dont fold...
My preflop play is solid for this limit imo, I made a few range calculations recently though, about playing certain hands against certain ranges(will try to post this soon, rly looking fwd to some feedback on it)
Still working a lot on my postflop play, I sometimes make spewy calldowns(I should rather send that money to charity), missing out a lot of value in some spots, barreling in the wrong spots etc.
Overall I think I have a lot of work to do, but I still feel that I have improved a ton over the last few weeks.
Kinda sucks that my CR account is no longer available and also that I have just silver status here. Have to do smthing about that asap!
NL100 is going to take a while since I am 12BI under EV on NL50 and still dont quite have the roll for 100. But doesnt matter I have to stay positive and keep improving.
Hi, i've been following your blog from the beginning and have to say great job! Your journey through the limits is rly admirable + i liked many of your posted hands, too. What exactly do u study btw? Maybe i'll study math in ba from the following year as well

Hi there,
Thanks for the feedback, I study "pure" mathematics(in BA you have EFM and ensurance mathematics apart from that) , atm thinking of taking a year off and going for poker fulltime![]()
Just played a decent session, everything was going my way, people were even folding!
3 hands were I was not sure what to do at the time, posted in the hand evaluations:

Definitely go for it. Matfyz is by far best faculty in Slovakia. If you'll choose applied math, EFM (economic and financial mathematics) is the best one. Wheter EFM or pure, depends on what do you expect from it. Feel free to ask for advice.
And what's even better, 888 VIDEO TABLES, it's really funny to act there like an idiot and play the biggest fishes. They think they are the best ones. And what's best, you can force them to think on fisrt level. I mean, the very first one. You can pick real cards and value bet hard while showing them what do you have, going to showdown twice, they will call you anyway, and then start showing them stupid hands, busted draws and they will think (at least for a while) you are showing them truth
And best is watching the fish tilt live.
Report from today: I think I played pretty much my absolute A game, ran terrible yet again, including some postflop 1outer crap but thats fine. What I am really proud of that I havent looked at my cashier nor graph for almost a week so thats a great acomplishment ♦
I have 2 hands from today, Im not going to post them into the hand evaluations, the last hands I posted I got really wierd advice(tbh I think it is pretty terrible, no offence), anyway here are the hands:

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5:c, 4:c.
MP2 folds, MP3 calls $0.50, CO calls $0.50, 2 folds, Hero checks.
Flop: ($1.75) 5:d, 4:s, 4:d (3 players)

Hero checks, CO bets $3.15, Hero raises to $9.50, CO folds, Hero gets uncalled bet back.
Final Pot: $7.9.
Here I would normaly just lead out but the first guy was rly fishy and I thought he would bet out with any 2. On the turn I go for a c/R, just wondering what to do if he 3bets? Is the c/R rly a good option? I think I might be isolating myself against 55 since its a limped pot? Not rly sure

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with Q:h, A:d.
MP2 folds, Hero raises to $1.50, CO calls $1.50, BU calls $1.50, 2 folds, BB folds.
Flop: ($5.25) 2:s, Q:c, J:h (3 players)

Final Pot: $17.75.
I get 2 callers, fish and TAG, turn is a rly bad card, Is check/folding here too weak? basicly I am ahead only of KQ I am pretty sure the tag would check that back.
OK so I decided to put this into the equilator and see
Here is the range for both of them peeling the flop(I give the fish a rly wide range and the TAG I gave a reasonable range)
Equity Win Tie Loss Hand
Player 1: 49,589% 42,117% 15,036% 42,847% AdQh
Player 2: 18,130% 16,656% 3,039% 80,304% JJ-55, AQs-ATs, K9s+, Q2s+, J8s+, T9s, AQo-ATo, K9o+, Q8o+, J9o+, T9o
Player 3: 32,281% 25,082% 14,488% 60,430% JJ, AQs, KTs+, QTs+, JTs, T9s, AQo, KQo
So this means I should be ahead most of the time, the question is what part of his range is the TAG going to bet?
I think it is something like KQs,AQ, QJ, QT,JJ,JT and thats about it.
Against that range my equity looks like this(considering the turn card ofc)
Equity Win Tie Loss Hand
Player 1: 49,019% 35,847% 26,343% 37,810% AdQh
Player 2: 50,981% 37,810% 26,343% 35,847% JJ, AQs, KQs, QTs+, JTs, AQo, KQo
Since the fish can still call a lot of crap and the TAG will probably have a wider calling then betting range I should have probably bet/folded that turn. But I think its close and I will probably get into a difficult spot on the river. But equitywise I think bet/folding is better then check/calling or check/folding. In the heat of the game I thought I must be behind here very often so I decided to c/f, I dont rly like it anymore.

Preflop: Hero is CO with J:d, J:h.
MP2 folds, MP3 raises to $1.50, Hero calls $1.50, 3 folds, 2 folds, BB folds.
Flop: ($3.75) 4:d, 2:c, J:s (2 players)

Final Pot: $21.75.
Not sure how to extract value here(vs TAG)? I think his range is either pure air, an overpair or a set. Imo shipping the river looks way more bluffy than minraising or sthing, if I minraise I doubt I will get a call from an overpair bc he will be like "whatever he has a jack". Maybe raising the flop or turn would be better, but then I dont let him bluff.
I did a lot of rly stupid things lately, going to move down to NL25 for a while. I am break even on NL50 after 30k hands so its deffo not just bad run, I am pretty bad I guess. My plan is to play like 20k+ hands on NL25 and see if I can beat that limit at least or if it was just luck.
//edit: Played some hands at NL25, but no I dont think it was luck people are terrible, donated about 4BI in a while... I just dont know what is up with NL50
like it seems wierd if I have 10bb/100 on NL25 and cant beat NL50 in 30k hands. If some1 would like to sweat me I would by really glad, I think I need somebody else to look at what I am doing and tell their opinion.
Maybe getting (paying) coaching from someone playing higher would be beneficial. Don't be a Scrooge. You'll earn way more later.

This made it for today, vs 90/30 guy overbetting every flop.
^^
This is just a setup, against the player you describe. In order not to go broke here, you have to believe that he has AA only, and it isn't possible.
Don't let hands like this one influence your judgement of your NL50 ability.

bc I dont want him to fold/induce something stupid. My goal is to get the money in since he is playing Ax and even 7x the same way.Plus the flop is dry so I dont have to protect much. To give an idea how he plays: some1 raises, he calls and another guy calls flop comes K24 rainbow he donks 25 into 5. And stuff like that.
Will be playing on 888 for a while. I found out that NL50 there is extremely soft and passive, I play for value only and everytime I get raised on turn or river I fold. The playerpool is extremely bad. I know this wont improve my game, but at least I can make some $$$ easily and build a roll for higher limits.
Plus it might help me a bit psychologically since when I log on stars the first thing that goes through my mind is like "omg here we go again". I know its total BS logic but still ♦
Still looking for a sweat partner, NL50 crusher would be best
I might be able to help in some way. Maybe you can post a Video @NL50 and we can analyze it?
I doubt if my English is good enough to communicate while watching you play...I have no problem listening to the PokerStrategy videos, but its always a challenge to communicate in 2nd language.
(Sweating=watching one's play by skype/teamviewer. right? not sure....or simply sitting at the same table?)
My biggest leak @NL50 was wrong response against aggressive 3bettors. I was trying to 4bet bluff when my Btn open gets 3bet (cause I know they are full of ****), but I should have realised how narrow range I was repping there (60%btn open →3~4%value range. ). So the 3betters were always shipping light and i had to fold my Q7s or some other crap.
Most players@NL25 are not that aggressive preflop. ( some NL25 regs have balanced strategy preflop. with ideal stats. I guess preflop game/stats are easy to master compared to postflop...)

OK, I will try to make a video, hope my computer doesnt crash ♦ Yeah sweating=watching some1 play(i use mikogo).
About the 4beting, I might be 4bet/folding too much that is true. Atm im playing on 888 which is rly soft, like nobody is 3b or 4b light so its quite easy. Btw do you have skype sir?
Enough. I have decided that the fun is over. I am going to invest 30+mins after every session and reviewing everything and spaming this blog with hands. Just playing wont do it(on 888 poker it will though ♦). I dont want to be a rakeback hero.
Also I am planing on makeing a video of my play, just wondering what program to use for recording? fraps? I also have mikogo but it saves the videos in a wierd format. Any tips?
As I posted before I started playing NL50 on 888 poker, the field is so terrible it is rly hard to describe I hope I can get a sick winrate out of it. Even the regulars are so bad, check raising turn with top pair good kicker, raising paired flops and more...
Report from today:

I made a few mistakes, but realized most of them right away(i cbet twice in bad spots, made 1 rly stupid 3barrel vs fish), I should cut off a finger everytime I do such stuff. Or maybe just when I do stupid stuff from CO, that would make sense.

This1 is ugly, My first thought was just FOLD, but he was a fish and I have seen very stupid stuff on 888, also he could have a low flush but I dont give that a big chance. Against a good player I am folding or calling and folding to a big river bet, but its really hard to tell what fish have, I wouldnt be surprised to see AA or KK.

Here the question is what to do on the river. I think check/call is terrible because he is never betting worse. Also he almost never has the flush so only hand that beats me is QJ and I think he is raising the turn with that. So I have a value shove.
After the hand I was asking myself what I would do if he raises the turn? I would like a fold probably, but again not sure about it. Because he is never bluffing and either its a split or he has QJ so it should be -EV to call a push there. But he also might just be going nuts with the low end of the str8 or a hand like low end+flush draw. Argrhhh, I think it would be very close.
//edit: I should have bet a bit more on the turn
Another thing is that I find it very hard to handread some players on this site, they seem to play sets and TP the same way, doing a lot of crazy bluffs where I would never expect them(like dry flop goes c/c and he overbets air 2x pot on blank turn when I have TPTK). Preflop the game is very passive, I have been abusing the regulars a lot, they dont adjust at all, they play their game and simply dont give a fck.
