I heard a news that talks about a boycott that happened. The issue is about a big time pro poker player Phil Ivey is boycotting the WSOP this year, states Big Lead Sports. This is as a result of actions of promoter Full Tilt Poker, which has routinely failed to refund customer account funds after the United States Justice Department changed the rules on online poker websites. As federal agents consistently work with online gambling sites to refund online poker players, parent company Tiltware, LLC, has held on to over $150 million in consumer funds, a move that has motivated Ivey to take Tiltware to court. Here is the proof: Player Phil Evey boycotts the World Series of Poker, newstype.com
Saying he is going to lawsuit on behalf of players and getting 150$ million for it... is freaking stupid.
He is just amassing money for himself...
It has nothing to do with players, it's just the timing he is taking advantage of. Please do not get sucked into some BS story.... look at the facts:
Ivey will get 150$ million if he wins.
Poker players still potentially get 0$ if he wins.
WTF is he doing for the players?? The answer is nothing...
so why is the majority saying he is making such a good move blablabla... he is trying to make money, nothing more...
I always thought Phil Ivey came across as a very selfish and self serving individual in every tv programme I have ever seen him in. So when he released that statement I thought there must be some self serving action behind it.
Andrew Robls statement sounds about 100% correct to me. But what do I know eh.
Don't get me wrong. Phil Ivey, great player, just very selfish person.
