[Closed] Online poker became illegal in Poland (?)

Hi!

Poker in Poland was officially illegal even before the gambling legislation.
The new law doesn't change a lot, it just puts poker into the same bag with slot machines and casinos and says it is a game of pure luck.
Advertisement of betting/casinos/poker is illegal throughout Poland as well.
The only legal poker games are tournaments in casinos.

What it changes to us, polish players?

Nothing really, the smaller poker rooms may be blocking our IP's.
All PokerStrategy.com partners we asked for statements, said that they will proceed as normal - nothing changes on their side.
In the legislation you can read, that the poker websites will not be blocked, as there is no such possibility for PL government.
The NT/MB payment system will work as usual too.

The legislation act will now go to the European Union and it is very possible, that our government will have to change it completely.
There are already paradoxes, like Real Madrid team not being possible to play a match in Poland, because of a bwin name on T-shirts

Considering all the facts - this is a totally dead law, that can only scare a few fishes away from poker.
The politicians working on it only want to say, that they got rid of the gambling problem (still allowing national lottery) before the next election.

PL.PokerStrategy.com will work as normal and you don't have to worry guys, there will be still a lot of PL players on poker tables everywhere
