I deposited $200 of my own money on stars and I'm playing 5NL. I want to go up to 10NL at 400$. I like playing with more BI's and not taking shots.
With my current skill level I'm pretty confident I can beat 200NL.
I hope that FTP gets back soon and I will be able to continue with my entire roll and get to play 25+NL soon.
I've had a few people interested in loaning me small parts of the 1500$ request, but did not add up enough and if I'm going to play with only a few hundred dollars roll, I prefer it to be mine. I appreciate the interest though. Well, if something terrible happens to PokerStars and FTP doesn't get well, I will be forced to request staking - I hope this doesn't happen
I still want to make at least one million dollars from poker.

You were not the first to tell me this. So I thought about it and decided to play NL10.
Now my BR stands at 500$ and I'm thinking why shouldn't I do the same and play 25NL? But I really don't like playing with only 20BI and I can't afford a downswing at 25NL.
I also played a few SNGs and MTTs this weekend.
And I had one cash in a weekly silver freeroll (100FPP) for 20$.
I don't know how much of this is variance, but I think I played ok. I know a few things about playing SNGs and MTTs (NashEquilibrium, ICM, SAGE and concepts like folding wars; playing to accumulate or to survive). It's nice because I'm stepping forward to winning my first large MTT (which is one of my sweet long term objectives).
PS: I played more than just one of these SNGs and I played a few other MTT's in which I didn't cash.
This is why BRM is important. If I would have played 25NL I would have been demolished.
12BI under EV in 300 hands.
It all happened at one table. There was a whale that won every hand against me (all weaker by equity + a cooler and a lost coinflip) The funny part is that I acted like a fish and the guy thought I'm a fish and stayed more, I wanted him to stay.
Known players:

Final Pot: $13.88. Results follow:
Hero shows a pair of jacks(J:c J:s). BB shows a pair of kings(K:d 2:d).
BB wins with a pair of kings(K:d 2:d).
I feel good that it didn't affect me. I just played good poker and exploited my opponent which was very weak, but in this case lucky as well. Just standard deviation.
I'm contemplating being staked/asking for staking.
$1K + my stars BR. For playing 25NL. 60/40 for me. I wonder if after splitting the profit it will be more profitable than playing 10NL (I will make some math later - i did it, yes it is). For one month. Volume = at least 50K hands.
And if I do well in the first month, I may ask staking for 50NL.
And this includes that nasty run from the day before.
From this month. I have hands at 2NL, 5NL, 10NL and some at 25NL.
My winnings overall were bigger due to some SNGs and MTTs.
I'm confident I can beat 200NL too, so maybe I should ask from the beginning staking for 50NL (40BIs for it). I'm as sure as a good poker player can be, I play against fishes, there's where my money comes from and maybe from weak regs and some other that I got profitable edge on.
$2K, 50NL for 2 months (at least). 60/40 only profit. At least 50K hands/month. My BR will not be included (what I mean by this, if I end up the deal with -$BR, it's taken out of the stake. I wanted to state this for me to play confortably knowing that I have something to fall on if it doesn't work. But the worst will not happen, I will win - I just want to be conformable playing my game)
If it goes well, maybe I would ask for staking for 100NL.
Before being staked I will have to fully set up my Neteller account (they fail to call me, it's the 3rd time = bad customer service) so I can get and send money direct in $ (my moneybookers currency is in RON, so I will lose a lot in transactions). I plan to get an VIP account on moneybookers, but till then I will have to use Neteller.
I'm in no hurry anyways, I'm gonna play and build from this point that I am now. Till the end of August I should have the BR to play 25NL and then maybe FTP goes on and I can add both BRs into one and start playing 50NL.
I also played a satellite today for the Red Spade MTT:
The entry to the RedSpade is $50+5.
Now I'm pondering if to play the tournament (it starts in 2 days and has a guaranteed prize pool of $1M!!) or get the $55. It's kind of big entry for me, at 10NL it's 5.5BI's, but If I will reach the money it will be great, if I end up at the final table it will be AWESOME! And if I win it, it will be a dream! But I also am realistic and know that there are little chances to reach the final table and that it will be a big field with good mtt players that are good at playing in the middle phase of the tournament (when we have 20-40BIs) at which I suck the most.
It's interesting how I got to play this satellite I was searching a fish at one of my tables to see how many tables he plays and there was a satellite and opened it for a brief moment then checked out the RedSpade MTT and searched through the satellites to find one with the smalles buy-in and in which I will have the biggest chances of winning. If not for the fish I would have never played it.
Do I really have to lose 2BIs (in mistakes) every 2-3 days to relearn that when a fish min-raises (c/minr) the turn is always strong and never bluffing (unless having a note on him that says otherwise)?

After opening this thread 6max multitabling A-game and reading the responses, I came to the decision to up the number of tables that I can play A-game at. My current number is 6, I'm going for 9 as a standard (this is 50% more hands in the same amount of time)
I got to get used to 9 tables. For starters. I've set up everything, I found the best layout (still tiled works best), increased HEM font for the HUD as the tables went smaller so all the text with it. I played 2900 hands today, 9tabling, and stayed focused on playing my best, while changing tables that weren't good anymore.
The results from today's 9tabling session are nice:
I still sometimes don't have enough time to think or to look at the stats and make the most informed decision.

Is this because I'm bronze?
Most probably. You have to be gold or silver i guess.
