1901 entrants i was at the time 13th and there was 43 players left. This hand made me very short stack and lost shove straight after and finished 41th. Depressed. Want this one evalueted.

Did i over play this or its just a cooler? Should i just call on the river?

Regards,

I'd probably go broke here myself, but I'm not an expert.

I'd also probably bet the turn, since no one wanted initiative.
And based on what UTG had, BU was probably just trying to take it down right there by representing.

Normally one should have as a goal to win the tournament, not just "place higher in the money".

I mean, there's only one hand that can beat us here, but one can still of course argue for only calling the river bet.

The riverbet itself confuses me, as he didn't raise the turn, but only called, then donked out once BU had taken initiative on the turn, it shows certain strenght, but not sure I'd interpret it as someone scared of missing value with the nut flush.

Still though, wait for an actual hand judge to comment, only take my thinking as a recreational players musings.

Only thing we where worried here that might be done wrong to over shove is that what we would get called by villian for hes last 55k? Would he call with Q J or 10 high flushes?

I think it might be called polarized that you only get called by better hands? I know there is lots of donks out there who call with all sort of redicoulos hands, but that late stage in tournament?

Well, I'd say calling is an option partly because he donks, and secondly if we shove and get called by better, we have roughly 10bb left, if we call and are beat we have nearly 20bb, which is a fair deal more playable, in my opinion.

openraise pre to 12,5k or something like that. I hate openlimping since if you get raised you need to play without initiative oop. If you openraise you can take down a lot of pots with cbets also if you don't hit.

as played i raise the turn small to get value from other draws like lower fds and 910 and also hands like aj that probably give you the most value on the turn!

rest is setup
greets
