0.25/0.50 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: Texas Grabem 1.9 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with K♠, K♦
Hero raises to $2.00, 4 folds, BB calls $1.50.

Flop: ($4.25) Q♠, 7♣, 4♠ (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $3, BB raises to $6.00, Hero calls $3.00.

Turn: ($16.25) J♣ (2 players)
BB bets $5, Hero calls $5.00.

River: ($26.25) 7♥ (2 players)
BB bets $5.50, Hero calls $5.50.

Final Pot: $37.25

I wasn't sure whether I was up against a set or a draw and decided to do pot control, because he previously only minraised with a strong hand (2pair, TPTK or set) and bets higher with worse hands.
Couldn't help the feeling not to trust it and forego protection and just see the showdown as cheap as possible ? Wrong to go by instinct like this sometimes ?

I would be fairly sure i was beat on the turn but i don't think my mouse could move to fold. I think it is close and depends on your reads.

Updated for stats, sorry.
Yes, those stats are real !

Think I would go broke there

his bet on the turn & river both looks weak and would reraise turn $15 & push river

lol and then go broke

no your instinct is your read on the player.
but watch your instinct if it says oh i will hit my mirical card.

No, my instinct only tells me stuff about their cards, not the deck
I won this hand, but villain did have Q4 on the flop...

i dont think he'd minraise the flop if he didn't want you to call, so he's not likely to have a draw.. only trips and maybe AQ..

but looking at those stats he can easily have a hand like Q4 Q7 even 4 7

Idd, that minraise was weird and his range is ... well, any two cards basically.
I won 140 $ against that guy alone yesterday, he's been bluffing with nothing and once I went all the way with top pair Q ten kicker which was enough.
However, this time, I just wanted to see showdown as cheap as possible, I really do not trust minraises
