it's very very different. just allow yourself a lot of time to get used to it.

GL classical!

PT license arrived finally, and I had a lot of fun fiddling with it. I can now finally make graphs!

This is the all-time graph (without yesterday's session) in $ which comprises the limits 0,05/0,10 - 0,10/0,20 - 0,15/0,30 - 0,25/0,50 - 0,50/1,00.
The first month of 0,05/0,10 was lost, so we can't see my initial 340BB down...

I have little time for playing these days and would have been Silver again if not for the end-of-the-Month rule. The few hands I played on 0,50/1,00 SH caught an upswing which is good for motivation.

BR is about 585 (including partypoints, I will include PP always from now on).

Hi Classical,

Nice graph and good luck with the PT-license, you'll enjoy it for sure :)

Good luck at the tables and keep us informed!

Short weekly update...

I also finally have the PA license now (it was hiding in my Spam mailbox!), so am fully armed for the future. Played some 2k hands SH now, nothing really, and fortunately caught a good run to start, althoug yesterday's session was bad. Win-rate slightly below 5BB/100 now, so still definitely upswing.

I'm working on getting used to seeing the stats in the HU display. Sofar it gave me some BBs (looser blind stealing against a nit, easier folds against a rock) but it also cost me BBs for instance calling down too loosely against a maniac. So I have to still find my middle ground here.

BR about $640

Good to see you're running well =))

I think the stats are more to decide marginal situations, 95% of the time you will probably go on basic skills, post the hands in the forum and lets have a look if you think you played too loosely

Hi Classical,

Good to hear you have your PA-licence. But like TerrorBlade mentioned, I only use the stats for special situations only.. Most of the game is just basic play, and when there is a special situation, the stats are very helpful to make some more +EV decisions.

Good luck with your PaHUD!

Hi there Classical,

Nice blog, and good to hear you received your liscences. Playing with PokerTracker and PokerAce is always more motivating then without due to being able to better identify profitable situations and for finding leaks in your own play. But according to your chart you seem to be playing pretty solidly already :)

Good luck climbing even higher,
SoyCD

Great comment. But I need some help with that:

After some 2.5k hands (no sample size I know) my WTS is 32, which I understand is low for SH. I may have a leak in either folding too much, or playing too aggressivley making the opponents fold too much (but losing when they don't). How do I get all my SH hands where I folded in HU situations in Pokertracker?

Or do you say: don't change anything yet, get a larger sample size first?

Larger sample size, although 32 is even a bit too low =O Post some hands etc + read SH hands in the sample forum.

32 WTS low ??? Wtf...

Welcome to fixed limit :)

Standard is like 37-38 and sometimes even 41 or something on higher limits. It's 1 of the reasons FL is nicer to play, it's not like: zomg 2 cards lets go allin, then see your opponent fold.

Oh, ok, my bad.
I always forget about FL.
