does anyone know what will happen to players from denmark on william hill, there are some new laws and poker sites must get license to operate legally in denmark after 1 january, dont know if william hill has got the license, maybe moderator knows?
Hi dgybel,
I'm sorry, I personally have no knowledge of any pending changes.
I think you would be better off asking WH themselves if you are looking for a prompt answer on this one.
Let us know if you get any news ![]()
Kind regards,
Gary

A lot of the content is covered in this article (in danish obv.)
Hi Damlqv,
As your link contains another affiliate based website I have to removed it as per our forum principles
I trust you understand.
Best regards,
Gary
bummer. but yeah ofc ![]()
The most important thing is that the pokersites who haven't got licens will be IP blocked like piratbay is, so you will have to withdraw from those sites before 1/1 2012 to avoid troubles getting your money.
checked the list oblitron linked and cant find wh there, only 1 ipoker site and i have contactet wh live support on chat and they say that, wh have a eu license and no new changes in 2012, so i guess that means no license in denmark

Thank you very much for taking the time and effort of composing this list for our members, highly appreciated.
i think that ps should look into this, they have direkt contact to wh and other sites that runs through ps, and maybe tell other ps members from denmark.
moderator?
Am flagging it for the Powers That Be!
Will try and find some info and get back as soon as I do!
Regards,
Richard
is this any help?
http://www.pokerstrategy.com/news/world-of-poker/Poker-Regulation-in-Europe:-Overview_54765/
for now only poker room itself could answer to your questions as those are internal information and isn't shared with us.
I got this message from Poker770 when I asked them:
"By means of this message, we assure you that we are doing everything possible in order for our players from Denmark to continue their adventure with Poker770.
Please note that all of our players will be informed in case we have any updates regarding this matter.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
Best regards,"
From what I know, if the site is not on the list you will not be able to acces the website and log in to your acc in the software. So my advice would 100% be to withdraw, deposit on a site on the list and then maybe return to poker770 if they are granted a licens in the future. I take it that they will open up for new companies in the future (though the deadline to apply for them was oct. 17 2011).
a few more sites that I figured got licens is.
888 should have it (still waiting for confirmation from their support, but a 3rd part now says they have poker licens)
Classic Poker
Gnuf Poker
Scandic Poker
fortune poker
Centrebet
Danbook
Betway
All skins on Entraction

This is a horrible setup though since poker and casino is the same in the sheet but two different licens needed for the company.
BTW. As a bonus all our winnings in poker will now be tax free by law.
Will the Danish internet providers be required be law to block access to the non-licensed poker and casino websites?
so if the site is regulated in DK and is paying taxes, the player himself does not have to do this anymore? Am I right? ![]()
P.S. I think this thread should be moved to General Poker discussion, that more people would notice it.
Yes, everything is done for you now, you just need to play. However the sites are not allowed to give rackback any more so until they find a solution for that we're screwed on that point.
I figured that sites like Poker770 has applied for a licens but was not approved (probably because of security issues with the new login system) and willl be granted a licens as soon as they meet the requirements. Just keep in mind, if you stay on these sites, you cannot access your account before this is solved.
