I am a maths phd at cambridge university. I play some poker during my free time when I get bored of studying. Let me try to write a blog and see what happens. I am a recreational player and play all kinds of poker, husng, sng, mtt, cash etc. I had the 50 dollar starting capital from pokerstrategy twice and busted it twice. Last year, I started playing freerolls on fulltilt and managed to build up a BR of over 1000 dollars there. However, it went bad after full tilt's shutdown. The good news was I withdrew 300 dollars before that. Thanks to pokerstrategy.com, I got another 100 dollars on dafapoker and this build up my current BR. I have learnt from FTP's experience that you shouldn't put all eggs in one basket and have now 550 dollars on PS, 160 on dafa, and about another 200 on moneybooker which travels through different sites to play depositor's free rolls.
Played 2 10 dollar husng on dafa, won 1 and lost 1. lost 1 dollar rake thus...

This was the biggest hand I had. I am not sure whether I should overbet the river. I just felt he got a strong hand and he might think I was bluffing with some missed draws etc. and was hoping he make a loose call. But ok, I just coolered him.
If CO had been a rather loose player that chases draws you could consider c/r on the river if he is very likely to bet his missed FD. Overbetting is also good if you don't think he can fold any good Kx type hand. If he folds that, your overbet just folds too much of his range probably and given the fact that he never raised at any point in the hand a set is not the most likely holding at all.

Of course I didn't expect him to have set, if he had set, whatever I do we probably will get all in on river anyway. I had little stats from him, he just joined the table a few hands ago, I think the general population at 10nl level calls enough with Kx to make the shove profitable, of course I don't know that either.
I'm not really analyzing your hand because you have so little info it would be close to impossible to decide what's the maxEV play.
I was only suggesting ways to think about the hand and why make weird plays like overbetting river or c/r river with such a hand that clearly gets value when you just bet it.

First hand you can cbet less on that dry board with AK (maybe even less than 500). His range has A LOT of air in it which will fold anyway, and he will continue with some made hands/fds regardless of your betsize.
I like the 2nd hand and 3rd hand readless at least...
No idea about the cash hand, but imo at nl10 no one can fold AK, 2 pair in that spot.

No I didn't. I asked them and they said I can't delete my play money account in order to get benefits. So I only play on PS and Ipoker now
Ok cashed for 150 dollars in some mtt yesterday. I had a try on 7 dollar FR hyperturbo. Lost 50 dollars in 20 games, maybe it is not as profitable as I thought it was.
Yesterday was a good day, I avoided losing 8 times in a row with over pocket pair vs smaller pocket pair preflop by winning with AA v KK shove. However, I am still not far away from this problem. Today I lost 4 out of 8 shoves with over pocket pair v smaller pocket pair and lost all 5 the other way round. I also lost 2 out 3 times all in preflop with AA. To summarize I lost about 40 dollars in total, not too bad thus.

Observed a royal flush, costs me some equity though.
Yesterday I grinded 3.5 dollar hyperturbo husng on stars where I won 58 and lost 40 games. Today I moved up to 7 dollar ones and my luck was incredibly good. I won 18 and lost 6. In the middle I won 12 in a row where I won every shove where I am not dominated and some shoves where I am dominated. I felt so luck and finally my JJ lost to A10 to end my streak and that makes me feel less guilty.
