As i was playing some of the lower 180's, to fill up my games, i came in the following spot:
No Limit Holdem Tournament
PokerStars
6 Players
Hand Conversion Powered by weaktight.com
$2.28+$0.22Stacks:
UTG (32k)
UTG+1 (23k)
CO (38k)
BTN (81k)
PtiiiPtaaa (SB) (65k)
BB (32k)Blinds: 1.5k/3k Ante 300
Pre-Flop: (6.3k, 6 players) PtiiiPtaaa is SB 6♥ 5♥
3 folds, BTN raises to 6.5k, PtiiiPtaaa goes all-in 64k, 1 fold, BTN foldsFinal Pot: 76k
PtiiiPtaaa wins 76k (net +11k)
BTN lost 6.8k
I found my self having troubles with repushing in MTT/MTSNG.
Player on the button is a losing reggish type player. He plays a lot for a recreational player, but he isn't very good.
When i was in this hand, i though this would be a good resteal spot, because:
- The great damage i can do to his stack when he calls and loses
- 56s has relative great equity versus his callingrange
- He opens the button, which means he is opening decent wide, and therefore he has to fold a ton.
Unfortunately i didn't had any stats on this player, so that can't help in this decision. Considering he isn't a very good reg, i don't like the option of small 3betting, cause i will flatcall us too much preflop, which brings us in disgusting spots imo.
So concluding, my following questions are:
- Since this is a $2,5 --> Field is soft --> do i have to tighten up my repush ranges ? ( because losing our tournament equity would be a disaster) And if yes, how big of a difference should it make?
- Is repushing 56s for 21 BB ok in this situation?
- What would bottomrange be to repush in this spot ?
Thnx!
