CHANGES TO THE CALCULATION OF AFFILIATE REVENUE SHARE COMMISSION FOR 2012

On January 1, 2012, we will be changing the way we calculate revenue share for affiliates. When calculating revenue for commission purposes, instead of rake being split between all players dealt into the hand, rake will now be calculated based on the players who contribute to the pot. This has been updated in the Terms and Conditions, which you can review at: https://www.pokerstarspartners.com/public/about/termsAndConditions.html

Poor thread title. According to the link it's for commissions given to affiliates.

It's terms and conditions for affiliates. And the letter was for affiliates. 100% they are changing this for players too, you can read more about it at 2+2 forum.

After reading 2+2 thread on the subject (in between the trolling/flaming :f_mad: ) It seems that this is going to happen next year. Dealt rake will be no more.

There is also a biiig thread inside the german com about this. And they are all sure, that they will change the system.

For all the players on stars it is now interesting, if they change also a little bit for the different levels. Maybe reaching them with less points, or giving more VPP for each $ rake?

For me it is not interesting, because I do not play for rakeback at my micro stakes, but for SN or SNE players it will be very important to know more about the new system.

There's a lot of misinformation being floated around so I made a blog entry on this topic with all the pertinent information on a change: http://godlikeroy.com/2011/12/22/my-thoughts-on-weighted-contributed-vs-dealt-rake-methods-at-pokerstars/

I thought about breaking it up with some images or whatever but then I got lazy and also couldn't think of anything applicable to the topic!

Nice post sir.

+1.
Fingers crossed for the third scenario, even more so for no change.

Very long post. Too tired to read it all now, will return tomorrow. Until then, here's the response I got from support a few days ago. Personally, I'm not worried at all about these changes.

Hello Emanuel,

Thank you for your email and giving us the opportunity to assist
you.

There is currently no announcement of such a change taking place
in the near future at PokerStars. Pleast, rest assured that all
of our players would be notified should any change of that order
come to pass.

We hope this sets your mind at ease.

Please let us know should you require any further assistance.

Regards,

Alberto M.

Hi,

I am playing fix limit for years now i am only playing poker as a living at pokerstars,

I am supernova from last thursday, now i am taking my break for a weak and will start grinding at 0,5-1 , 1-2 fix limit tables Sh and FL...

When the contribute rake dealt system comes to life, i am wondering how will it effects us ?

Any suggestions from older fix limit pros here?

Btw i have very good winrate at pokerstars i never actually think about rake when i am playing ? But next year i wanna be at least triplenova to get a good money ?

I really select good tables, watch videos , read all the articles, etc.. ( thanx to boomer for that he also show me new way of thinking at fix limit)...

I need to plan my career wiselly after reaching this point...
