UTG+1 ($1.16)

TURN ($0.89) 7♦ 7♠ Q♦ 2♦

Villain has less than pot left.

I think preflop is fine, nice ds pair outs + str8 potential with 68 and J8 to raise, also fine to call getting 3:1 and relative postflop position towards a cbet (meaning I'm acting last if he decides to continue which most players do too much anyways).
Flop is an awkward spot: I have no history, so I'm assuming his range is AAxx heavy, meaning the only two hands having nailed this flop are AA7x with diamonds or AAQ7ds or ss, there are a few combos of AA77 too. Most of his AAxx or AQJT have missed though so I decide to call given the odds. Turn he decides to barrel very small again. I'm not sure what to do, c/shove for value?

Only read: I've seen him play the exact same line with K468ss on KJ94 turning but in that spot he didn't have initiative and donked the flop, followed through on the turn.

The only line you can take is to check and call and hope he makes a desperate bluff.

If you raise he folds everything you beat so it is not in your interest to raise here as he isn't folding a hand better than yours.

He will have 2/3 left on the river, do we fold given the board bricks again?

I think we have to call, based on your read of him making stupid bets that have no chance of working.
