Preflop: Hero is SB with 5 :diamond:, 4 :diamond:
3 fold, Hero calls, BB checks

Flop: (200) A :club:, Q :club:, 5  (2 Players)
Hero bets 200, BB folds, Hero gets uncalled bet back

Final Pot: 200

Was analysing my hands from the session i just played and found this, got a feeling at this stage in the sng i should've raised pre-flop? was lucky enough to semi-bluff the flop (though in hind sight this was a bit on the risky side)? What do you guys think?

Hi netrogrant,

I'll move this to SnG beginners forum, it will get a more appropriate response there ok? :)

Regards,

Mal.

It is close and I would make it very depensive from how often your opponent will fold.

With 10BB I would steal-shove it, as long as he does not call me extremly wide.

Howsoever, the bet on the flop is way to big. 130 to 150 will do here. He is not gonna fold a FD here anyways. He might push a queen and raise on an Ace.

cool thanks for the info,

but in general is this an ok situation to lead out and bet after the flop? especially with there being no pre-flop agressor and me out of position. in my head i was kind of semi-bluffing, hoping he'd think i had maybe paired up the queen, or hit the flushdraw.

thanks in advance!

is this a finaltable?
if not:

http://www.holdemresources.net/hr/sngs/icmcalculator.html?action=calculate&bb=100&sb=50&ante=0&structure=1&s1=4430&s2=1830&s3=2520&s4=1295&s5=3425&s6=&s7=&s8=&s9=

shove:

49.0%, 22+ Ax+ K2s+ K4o+ Q3s+ Q8o+ J5s+ J9o+ T6s+ T8o+ 96s+ 98o 85s+ 75s+ 64s+ 54s

if bb is really lose and calls more than 30% then fold!
greets
