Hey microhero, thanks for dropping by.

The graphs shown are just a small sample. I have played nearly 3 million hands lifetime. The HM2 graph is fairly recent including some 2013 hands.

I may update my thread with fresh graphs towards the end of the year, but won't be doing so just yet.

Like I said, will consider updating my results towards the end of the year.

If you don't feel there is sufficient info given in the thread to make a reliable decision then I welcome you to look for coaching elsewhere.

I'm already way over-subscribed with students currently, so if you are still on-the-fence after watching my available strategy videos and checking out my msn skydrive then my coaching is probably not for you. Thanks again for dropping by.

I was seriously considering getting coaching from you. Your msn skydrive says the same things that I've seen from many other coaches. I am only able to view 1 strategy video from you since I'm new here and I've seen 2 other vids of yours from youtube.

All I asked was for some recent results. You show a graph with +15,000BB and another with +20,000BB. What does that mean? I have a +30,000BB graph I can show you that I personally played. Will that impress u? Why would it when you don't know what stakes it is for.

There are many coaches these days and I'm just trying to do some research before I choose one. I'm not trying to be rude here.

EDIT: I edited again because you changed 1 part of what you said

Really, not trying to be rude myself either :)

Ultimately no amount of graphs are going to prove anything. That's why I recommend you watch some of my videos. If you like my approach to the game then take some sessions.

There are at least 40 training videos created by myself that are given away free on the internet with a little searching. I'm not going to link them here because I don't want to advertise other sites.

Feel free to add me on skype and I will show you where to find them.

Also check out some of the earlier posts in the thread and you can read testimonials from guys who took some coaching and are happy with the results.

EDIT - And yeah, I edited part of my previous post before you replied because I realised I didn't phrase it very well.

Today i had 10th session with our coach w34z3l and finished so called school package.

Our sessions took place in last 2 months. Booking session was very smooth over skype and w34z3l was always available for everything i needed. When we booked a session he was always on time, never late. He always brought good energy so the session were very pleasant. I am actually pretty sad that our sessions ended because that really was a nice routine for the past two months.

Regarding content we were going through, i have to say it was great. We covered topics i suggested and also coach found some spots where he thought we have to put a bit more effort. So we did. All his thoughts are very clear and he showed me the game in a different more interesting way. So right now i like poker even more than i liked it before.

With his help i moved from NL10 to NL16. While we were studying i played on Pokerstars NL10SH 53k hands with win-rate of 7bb/100hands so my initial investment somehow returned already.

We covered really a lot of things...here are just some of them
:spade: preflop play
:spade:constructing 3bet ranges
:spade: defending vs 3bets
:spade: polarized vs de-polarized 3betting ranges
:spade: constructing 4bet bluff range
:spade: good spots to bluff postflop
:spade: postflop and flop play regarding our opponent stats
:spade: cBeting
:spade: floating
:spade: bet sizing
:spade: and so on

We also did two sweating sessions and one session review.

At the beginning w34z3l tried to realize how i play. He also did a database review. I have to say he immediately found few leaks which were pretty straight forward but i was not aware of them. So i felt big inmprovement in my game already from the first session.

I have to say again that everything he did was really in friendly manner and he is not just a great poker player, he is also great person.

So i really enjoyed every minute on skype with him. He showed me Poker in depth and i think i have really good knowledge to beat those micro limits.
Now everything is on me.

I would like to publicly thank w34z3l for his effort and i will for sure order new package when i reach NL50 :f_biggrin:

Seems you got some great coaching over here judging by the testimonials.
I do agree with microhero though.

Poker evolves so fast and theres so many coaches out there, i don't see why you cant make a graph and stats of ur winrate of only 2013? And then u can put in another graph of like end of 2012 untill now or w/e .. ? Could you please do that?

And, could you be a bit more specific about this sentence?

"The HM2 graph is fairly recent including some 2013 hands."

Cheers

The HM2 graph is as current as some-time in february. The micro-stakes games haven't changed that much since then. It's true poker is constantly evolving, but in reality this evolution is not gradual and is very often caused by specific incidents such as black-friday where the games take a noted shift.

Part of the reason I do not want to add a new graph just yet is that I have mainly been playing 200nl (and some higher) for the past few months. I don't want to upload graphs of 200nl in order to prove that I can beat lower limits. I am very careful with certain types of information, and feel it is a negative freeroll to give away such info at this stage. This is a coaching thread, not a blog. These graphs will be uploaded later in the year if/when I decide to expand my coaching to include 200nl.

What is the metric we use to determine whether someone is a good coach. Is it really the winrate? Would you rather get coached by someone who puts in 20k hands a month, 2tables, only plays when they feel good, and has a winrate of 8bb/100bb? Or by someone who 16 tables, puts in 150k hands a month and has a winrate of 4bb/100? Winrate essentially proves nothing, there are far more important metrics.

You will also notice that some coaches put an extremely limited sample size of hands up in their thread. Anyone can run good over 100k hands. 800k hands is more than you will see on most other coaching threads, so on some level I'm surprised people are still requesting more hands.

It's also possible for a very good player to be a very bad coach; if they don't have the ability to explain concepts in a way that can be understood. This can also occur if a coach skips over relevant details not related directly to game strategy, such as bankroll management, mindset issues, and practical knowledge about poker-software/clients etc.

It's really good that you are taking the time to do some research. Many people ask the same questions as you. Essentially they are not asking the right questions though. If you want to know whether someone is good, you can only really establish that by watching them play and hearing their thoughts.

thanks for getting back so quick!

This makes total sense, i didn't know u were playing there. Srry if it seemed i was doubting u or something, i was just wondering why u wouldn't give those stats, but now i know since ur not playing there now. Cheers for the answer

and yeah def not every good player is a good teacher, true that. U can't really judge them untill u've tried them.

Theres def a chance i'll be wanting to do some coaching with you in near future. I just started poker again after long break and im just checking out all the options and thought that getting some extra info never hurts.

Hope u understand and thanks again for quick answer!
Cheers

Ok, thanks for checking out my thread. =)

It is commendable that you are taking the time to do research before you take up coaching. It's something that should definitely be done.

I've watched a few of your vids and you explain things very well. You also enunciate and speak slow enough that I don't have to keep rewinding to figure out what you're saying, which is a major plus to me.

I've been able to PTR some of you screen names, but none of those names play past 10 or 25NL and they were all last played in 2011 or 2012. You have anything recent?

Hello Microhero,

PTR is notoriously inaccurate and also does not even track the bigger sites for quite a while now.

The screenames I use in videos were mainly created for the purpose of producing micro-stakes content.

Unfortunately it could potentially be -EV for me to provide info about other screen-names and so I won't be able to do this.

Is your main game ZOOM or reg tables, or a mix? Do you mostly have ZOOM students or studentsn who play standard tables?

Main game is reg tables although I've played a lot of zoom-type games and teach a lot of zoom students.

Roughly speaking perhaps 70% of my students played standard games.

Hi,

I`m a small winner at micros. Overall carrer @500k hands NL2-NL10 SH, average win`rate 2.5bb/100. Over my last 100k hands I woke up (right after my last 15k hands-where I lost a ton) being breakeven. That makes me wana jump out the window...

I feel like I`m not progressing at all, and it kills me.

Bottom line, in how many sessions and could you turn that win rate close to 5bb+/100?

Possibly you realise yourself that there is no set answer to this question. It depends on a huge number of factors.

It may be that you are leaking money in very specific areas and it wouldn't be too difficult to add a few bb/100 to your winrate.

Some problems are harder to fix however, and even if many leaks are identified quickly, the improvements may not be reflected in your winrate immediately due to the effects of variance etc.

Usually I recommend guys take 3session leakfinder package. It's 3 sessions including a sweat session, DB review, and HH analysis. Usually this will be enough to uncover any big leaks you have. If you notice a big improvement there is always the option to upgrade to the 10 session package while keeping the full discount.
