' CHECKING ' some questions from a total beginner on checking,

on the 1st round of betting is it only the big blind that can check regardless of who raised/called when the action come back round to him?

After the pre-flop does the person to the left of the big blind have the option of checking to start the 2nd round of betting?

When there are only two people left in a tournament is the checking option available as both will now be small/big blinds??

any info on these questions will be appreciated

Hi Pauly and welcome :welcome:,

The player at the Big Blind has put a mandatory blind. He is involved and can check if players have been limping (puting the equivalent of that Big Blind).

When the three cards of the flop are on the table, the first person to actually play is the first one still involved at the left of the Dealer's Button (BU). If the Small Blind is still playing, it would then be that player.

When there are only two people playing, the player at the Small Blind needs to at least call the Big Blind to keep playing.

I hope that has been helpful.
Ray
