On 9 seat table, do we have 3 UTG places or 2 UTG places ?

I'm not sure if there even are any commonly agreed upon definitions about those tables, but the way I see it, there are three Middle Positions behind the Cut-off, which would leave us with two UTG places.
At a 10-handed table, there would be three MP and three UTG places, so with one spot less, I expect that one of the UTG positions would have to go before the MP ones.
