I am not sure if you can help me here - but in the German forum I cannot write any postings - the button "New Thread" does not appear to me. Years ago, I could write posts... What should I do?

I can't actually help, however I'll ask around to see if anything is different in the German forum.
We have recently had an onslaught of spam where the perpetrators used old accounts — I wonder if the German admins took some steps that EN admins didn't.
You could also try to create a customer support ticket Follow the link then click the 
beside "Open a new ticket"
Give them all the details you can — screenshots comparing DE and EN forums might be helpful.

Hi guys,
the reason is really the basic status - in the German Community at the moment we require bronze status to post for various reasons partly beyond our control. This is of course not an ideal situation - @OP please feel free to reach out to our customer service and they will give you a free upgrade to bronze.
