500NL Zoom - 100k hands - Rail Thread

Thanks for following. Right now I'm just grinding on my mobile but it misbehaves a lot.

Poker is a rough game and when you always get hit when you move up, it makes it 10x harder. First time I went up to 200NL SH Zoom, I instantly lost 22BI's... I don't know if it's over adjusting or just getting used to the level of players... But if you don't figure it out soon enough, it's better to move back down and take another shot...

I'm lucky enough I have a decent BR that I don't have to move down. I always teach my students though that it's OKAY to move down. Doesn't mean that you are not good enough, it might just be bad variance and moving down will lower that variance. So I'll grind whatever stake I feel comfortable with. I'm very comfortable @ 100NL and now slowly I'm more confident and comfortable @ 200NL. This move up to 500NL has been somewhat difficult because the poker gods aren't on my side.

I'm sure once I ride this wave that 500NL will be here to stay. 200NL will be of the past!

I'm slowly grinding my way out of this hole but right now, after 8.5k hands my EV winrate is 5.13bb and actual is -6.88bb... Slowly but surely we're going to dig out of this hole...

Had a lot of interesting hands @ 500NL... I won't post them because some of them were against coaches here... ♦ Overall comfort level has gone from 4/10 to 8/10 @ 500NL... So just a matter of time before we turn things around... I'll be grinding only 200NL until I have stable internet then I'll grind 500NL...

Moved... took a short vacation... now my Internet has finally been installed at the new place..

We moved closer to my children's school so I can prepare for SNE chase next year...

I'm hoping to grind a bit and hopefully have the stake finished in December... That's the goal... only 10k hands in...

At the 10k hands mark.

In terms of EV I'm up to 6.3bb but down -3.59bb.

So in total we are down $4,150.47 and raked $1255.

$USD EV adjusted is -$407.07

I shall start grinding now.

I'm at almost 16k hands ...

I've moved down to just 200NL and will probably be here for the rest of the stake to makeup the money.

Sorry guys for having such a rough start.

Account now is -$9k. Raked about $1.9k so overall down ~$8.2k with RB. I never thought I would start running like shit again and it was a bad time to be grinding 500NL and running bad. I seem to always run like shit when I move up!!!! I'm going to kill whoever sent me the bad luck money.

It's not like I've never been here before. The goal is to run 20bi below EV and still win money in the stake!!!!

8BI Below EV @ 500NL

I'm about 1bi down @ 200NL.

I'll be grinding 200NL for a while and hopefully catch a little bit of EV.

At 20k hands mark.

Slowly getting things that belong to me back...

I'm now back at 200NL grinding...

Just need to get back on the horse...

Hi Everyone...

I'm at the 30k hand mark and I'd like to pause grinding for a short break.

Ever since I've started the stake these are the results in big blinds...

200NL for the stake...

500NL for the stake...

Total for both stakes...

I usually take these bad grinding days pretty good but it seems as though it's getting tougher and tougher to handle.

I will be taking a few days off to kind of reset a bit. I don't know why but it's going pretty badly and won't get better for some reason.

First time I actually grind on a Saturday. FML. I should stick to weekdays where I would normally be just a few BI's below EV.... hahahha

I really do suck at this game.

If anyone wants to withdraw their money now, please say so before I really do go BROKE SO BROKE with the stake.

I'll stay in. I still think it's a good investment

i can always give home made Christmas presents.

All I need is a week just at EV and hopefully we get in the green. ♦
