I remember once there was Black member party in Europe+suit for those who achieve BM. Is this still available? I have like 117k/500k points but would be a nice goal or reward to put in some effort.
ah too bad, was at hippie gatherings then... :/ and now the company has new owners so even less hope :/ but will continue the poker grind that i very much love
Most of the poker rooms were dropping any good rakeback offers around that time too, if I remember correctly. It can't be helped, that's just how the industry was developing.
Hi taavi1337,
117k SP is not that shabby! Well done.
As Harrier88 mentioned, those events were live 2006ish till 2015.
The thread linked explains the reasoning a bit, but long story short: the time of crazy rewards for affiliates to bring no players were phased out. Poker rooms put a much higher focus on a balanced eco system and don't necessarily want to start a war between affiliates on who gives better benefits. Additionally we have poker rooms which either give no or irregularly StrategyPoints, some reward us as an affiliate with a one time payment.
As much as we can, we try to give benefits like 50% RB on KKPoker (the max allowed!), do rake chases to motivate players to play more or do simply give away $10k to our players in the GG New year raffle (5x 2k in 5 different communities).
Yes, that does not replace BM Parties - unfortunately those won't come back as such VIP events.
Happy to answer more in detail - I know that I will not be able to sell this as good news for you, simply because it isn't.

I feel it's more like an overall thing for me, moving back from "coach pathway" to only player again, so is nice to have some kind of vision or funny dream in the end. I think those parties served that "funny goal" purpose really well, i can still use that (creating a party on my own etc)... My other question was about getting a job at PokerStrategy but someone already replied that I should apply directly to Playtech.
What are you exactly looking for? Obviously Poker expertise helps in some jobs, but there also need to be the relevant business skills & knowledge.

Good question, i see myself in computer gaming and game development industry in the future, both in 21+ gaming (online poker) as player or coach and as computer game developer. At the moment I don't develop 21+, but I made a small game development business in Estonia mostly for locals at the moment, where I write computer games and sell them through my webpage.
I don't have necessary skills or time to work as software engineer for a big company, but once I was interested in becoming an online poker coach for Pokerstrategy, i was diamond member and chosen Hand Judge in Fixed Limit holdem forum. Someone even contacted me and said they are interested in a video or something, but it was more than 10 years ago and was about FLHE, a game that is pretty much not played much at current online poker rooms. In NLHE i dont have proven sample that i would be solid winner, im learning it at the moment and make like 5+bb/100 for sure for like 10k hands in NL2 but no-one is interested in that low stakes.
but yea once i was really inspired about being poker player/coach, i even met Pokerstrategy ex-coach mister Tiroch in another country through these forums and discussed poker. but NLHE i dont have enough skills at the moment for a coach job.
I was at one in Prague, there was a 2 storey arcade place hired and a castle for dinner, then barbecue outdoors. I made out with a pretty old bartender, took a nap on concrete tram stop and lost my iPhone 3G ♦
well yea i hate the idea of playing a live poker event, but would be nice to discuss poker with vegan food on vegan event with other vegan online poker players.
The Irish Poker Open actually has a deaf championship
Maybe a Vegan event isn't so far fetched π€£
There is like no way anyone could sell me participating in a live poker event :f_biggrin::f_drink:
