For those interested in an unbiased look at the California fires, here is a video from an engineering youtube channel.
This is particularly interesting to me, because I spent a week there on a course in the spring of 1998. Last April, Darlene and I went through that area on the train, and we also spent some time at Universal Studios, which although it is in the midst of the region, none of the fires has caused any damage there.

I heard about it on the news, but feels for me a far from my bed show living in Europe.
It's a interesting video. Hopefully not to many will suffer during the fire.

Hundreds, thousands or perhaps tens of thousands have lost their homes in one of the most expensive regions in North America.
Here in British Columbia a couple of years ago, we lost an entire town to a fire.
It is only now being rebuilt

That's indeed really huge. So long not to many people will going dead in a disaster like this.
