I expect that's also little bit the risk of investing in Crypto. So long you think of long run you get better of it and not think on short term only. Not sure tho. I'm not familair with the best strategy is for Crypto.

Or find his notes, he must have left his passwords, seedphrases, and all in a piece of paper.

I have an encrypted file that holds almost everything.
The problem is that it goes out of date, since I often forget to add stuff.
The encryption key is in a sealed envelope with the instructions to my executors.
I started about a year ago with mining PI crypto.
For the moment it is still in development and has no monetary counter value. As per their plan they want to go live by end of the year. So for the moment I am doing not so much with it. More a wait and see. Doesn't cost me a lot of time a day, only some seconds to restart the mining process in their app. If it is worth something, someday, fine, if not, hasta la vista.
Anyone else here into this?
In the early days of crypto I considered a miner, but by the time I figured out what I needed, it would have been far to expensive to do it.
I guess, since Pi is so easy to mine, the exchange rate later won't be too good. You only need their app and restart the process every 24h (which is running in the cloud on their servers and not locally). The app can then remain closed. But it is fun to see all those kids throwing all their hope into this "free money" as if it will shoot them into the sky once it is going live.
I once started ETH, but it was not running well here on my computer. Apart from this the wallet system kind of got me off. But even with what I had mined in that short time, I would have got some nice money nowadays.

I also have like 1000 Pi
Lets see if it is worth something later on.

Well, if I would have mined it, especially from the beginning, I would be happy with any 4-5 digit $-amount.![]()

Near the beginning, it would have been possible to make some decent money using the idle cycles on a standard home desktop.
Within a few months though, that was no longer possible.I own a small amount — less that the bankrolls I have on poker rooms — but still consider it too risky.
If I was about 1/4 my current age I would consider it, because I would have the ability then to recover my losses.
Now my capital is all about earning income, and crypto doesn't provide that.
If a person with a decent income wanted to invest long term, I think using Dollar-Cost Averaging ( https://www.gemini.com/cryptopedia/dollar-cost-average-crypto-invest) would make sense.
For me though, since I live on a pension, and having at most 20 years ahead of me, crypto makes no sense.
I bought some shiba inu coins and I was up kind of big for a while but now I'm in red. lol
I expect the dangerous situation in Ukraine could have a bad impact on this as well. Not sure that's the case yet.
