I stoped smoking tabacco at all. But I didn´t stop to use weed. I got a vaporizer to just heat it, not to burn. Theres just little bit steam to see. I felt really unhealthy smoking tabocco. Now Ihaven´t been sick for 3 years now. But maybe its the fresh coconut water that keeps me healthy.
Still, I played even stoned in the wsop main event and finished pretty good. It helped my game a lot.
But for sure most prefer to have a beer while playing.

Coconut water and even better the electrolyte version really helped when I first gave up smoking.
I don't use but I'm 100% for legalization (unpopular opinion: of all the "natural" drugs). You can debate the health benefits and risks of smoking cannabis, but no one can argue with social benefits of legalizing its distribution in controllable environment - it kills the black market and ultimately reduces the crime which is huge not only for the users but the rest of society as well.

Although the goal is to kill the black market, it will still exist to some extent.

Even with alcohol and tobacco -- which are legal, but restricted -- there is a small black market.

Alcohol is one of the worst drugs in the world... It's actually classified as a hard drug, compared to weed being classified as soft drug. Social acceptance put alcohol in the stores, could as easily been some other form of hard drug imo.
Anyway, I think it should be legalized for everyone as there are so many pro's compared to the con's. You know how many people take sleeping pills? They hand those out faster than smarties and they are far worse than weed while there are many weed strains "made" to ease the mind and sleep well.
Anyway, blessed to live in the Netherlands, I guess 
We have a TV series documentary in the UK called 'Banged up abroad', and it really isn't worth the hassle getting too drunk in Philippines either. But then why go to a nice country and get totally wasted and miss all the nice places you can go when your sober! 
Ultimately today the British government has allowed and looks like it may put a bill through that will allow use of cannabis oil for medical reasons. But then quoted that it is NOT the first step in legalising it for recreational use! We have been told!

Heroin is a magnificent pain killer and causes no physical harm. The harm comes with withdrawal, since heroin causes the body to stop producing endorphins. Without endorphins or heroin, every sensation is interpreted as pain.
Processing, and production for profit causes problems too. Here in southern British Columbia certain species of the psilocybin mushroom grow wild in lawns and cultivated fields and make their appearance in late fall. So once a year I would get up before dawn, go to a place where I knew they were growing, pick a cupful or so, cook them in an omelet, and have a wonderful day. I've heard horror stories of people who bought "magic mushrooms" from a dealer and suffered ill effects. Who knows what they were laced with? Were they even the right species? Was the "victim" allergic to them? Were they fresh?
Of all the things I've tried, psilocybin mushrooms are the only consumable hallucinogen I would ever consider doing again if it became legal to do so.
Alcohol was known since ancient times, and its production and consumption is build into the fabric of Western society.
Other societies, not so much. The North American natives had severe problems with it, due to a lack of cultural traditions around alcohol, and the lack of a certain enzyme needed to quickly metabolize it.
An old bartender saying used to greet customers was "name your poison".

I am not a big mushroom fan, but I think this omelette sounds a lot nicer than my boring ham and cheese or a bowl of ready brek! I will have to try it when out in BC!

It was noticed that the people became heavily addicted to morphine, so it was modified to di-acetly-morphine which should have such a big potential for addiction, but well,

here we go! Heroin still creates addiction and that´s why withdrawal is so bad and difficult.

The most local anesthetics are derivatives of cocain (Lidocain, Novocain, Xylocain, Ultracain..etc.). Cocain itself comes from a plant, the coca-plant, but nowadays is mostly synthetically produced.
Yeah, the PCP we already discussed: lamotrigine (the mood stabilizer I am taking) is chemically related to it. Urine drug tests of people taking lamotrigine can give false positive results. 
Yeeeah and the SSRI-antidepressants: They can be hell on earth (I should know it, lol 
) The problem with them and the antipsychotics are the side-effects, the withdrawal symptoms and the risk of developing akathisia.
If heroin was a medicine against depression, I would prefer it 10000000x over Prozac!!!!!!!!
I would say one of the worst drugs EVER is Prozac! And it´s legal! 
I would rather go to jail than take Prozac ever again!

At this point, I've never heard of a bad trip from someone consuming a small quantity of fresh psilocybin mushrooms that grow locally.
But psychotic side effects are why I did not include LSD on my list of "things I would do again". A friend and a nephew went on one-way trips. My nephew is still in hospital -- now for over 25 years. He had a family history of schizophrenia, and the official diagnosis is that taking LSD triggered it. It may have happened without, but the fact that he became full-blown crazy pretty much the day he took acid for the 3rd time, it is reasonable to assume cause-and-effect.
Add to that the possibility that what he purchased and consumed was something else entirely.
As for my friend, I have not heard of him in years, but 10 years on, he too was still in the psych ward.
I took acid only 5 times. The final time the LSD was prepared by a pharmacy grad student at UBC. The experience was so clean and pure, that I never purchased street drugs again. When you purchase drugs from criminals, you put your entire future at risk for a few hours of possible enjoyment.
